The Biergarten is one of my favorite Asbury Park hangouts. The interior can be a bit intimidating with it's chilly concrete walls, two story ceilings, and iron stairways. The staff however, makes up for the buildings lack of warmth. The liter size beer mugs also will soon have you forgetting about any discomfort. The Biergarten, as one might expect, has a large selection of domestic and imported beers on tap. The Germanic food menu is also surprisingly good. The smoked porkbelly, is not to be missed. Trout, and fish and chips are also good selections.
In the summer, the roof deck is a great place to get a drink and hang with friends. The deck looks right over the lake and there is a nice view of Ocean Grove and the malevolent looking Power Plant Tower.
