My husband & I stayed for a week 11-18 Feb 2012. We stayed on a B&B basis as we wanted to explore the surrounding area & restaurants. Breakfast buffet has something to please everyone & the coffee is immediately brought to you & replenished at your table before you even ask!
The hotel is immaculate & I have to say that we have never stayed in a hotel anywhere & found all of the staff so obliging. All our needs were met, the staff are 100% customer focused & the pool guy Ahmed was amazing-even coming around to us all daily to clean everyone's sunglasses when we were at the pool-an amazing, respectful, polite & helpful guy-as were all of the staff the whole time.
The location is ideal if you want to be away from the hustle & bustle of Na'ama bay which is a 15 minute taxi ride away.-don't pay more than E40 for a taxi though outside the hotel-you will need to barter before you get in & agree the total amount according to the number of passengers also!!
The only thing to be aware of is that there are a LOT of steps in the complex as there are many "tiers" of accomodations-this may not be ideal for the medically/orthopaedically challenged or people with babies/tots in buggies.
We will definitely recommend this hotel & will be more than happy to return-thanks to the fabulous customer service & care we received on our stay-thanks to you all!!

Room Tip: Just be aware of the fact that there are a lot of steps on the complex.

This is a beautiful resort in the gorgeous Sharm area. The breakfast buffet was absolutely yummy and there was a very pretty view of the Red sea inside the very large dining area.

I gave it 4 stars for two reasons:
1. It can take anywhere from 5-15 minutes to walk back to your room, depending on if you get lost of not. Their signs for room numbers are terrible, but they do personally show you to your room when you first arrive, so just make sure to pay careful attention. To be fair, once we got to our room, it was very clean and we had a view of the ocean! Nice!
2. There wasn't exactly a nice enough beach front where you could go for a walk/run on the beach. There was a trail off the beach, but it wasn't what we really wanted to do. The snorkel seemed to be a good option though, since many people were out there doing that.

Room Tip: We had an extremely early flight to Luxor on our check out date, and I found out through some friend...

This is a nice property, with beautiful landscaping and reasonable amenities. The private beach is outstanding with excellent space to spread around and not feel too crowded by other guests. They have a good variety of swimming pools but unfortunately only one of them (one of the smaller ones) is heated and thus if you're there during winter then you can pretty much forget about using the pool because it is always full of people. The food was average at best, with the Italian restaurant being well at the bottom of the list in spite of it being their marquee restaurant. I had a seafood pasta there that pretty much tasted like dish detergent.

All negatives at the hotel, however, clearly pale when compared to their service, or lack thereof. For a supposedly five star property, the staff there is horrendous. They speak below average English, but that's just the beginning of their issues. Most of the staff is completely unwilling to show any genuine interest in helping people out and those who do try are totally incapable of helping. It is a very common sight to see guests wandering around the lobby area looking for help with nobody even attempting to see what they wanted. Worst of them all is the General Manager who needs to reread his job description as he clearly believes that his job is restricted to just wandering around the hotel aimlessly with a fake smile on his face while refusing to do anything that remotely resembles work.

I've just completed an eight day stay and can throughly recommend this hotel. The property is stunning visually; all the staff are highly motivated to assist; and the views from the hotel are excellent.

The hotel is about 15 min drive from Nama Bay, which is worth visiting ONCE for a short time. The hotel has a minibus service costing about €1.2 each way.

There are a total of 5 places to dine in the hotel, and whilst this property would not be the first choce for beluga caviar or Dom Ruinart 2002, they do have an excellent buffet and make superb steak and chips.

For me, a key attraction of the hotel is the flowers, trees and plants. They are stunning at all times of year, but especially in early Spring.

Room Tip: The hotel is on a steep slope with reception at the highest level and rooms down to sea level. A ro...

The hotel itself is clean, well maintained in a nice location. We stayed in a family suite and the extra bed was a horrlibly uncomfortable sofa bed which our two kids (5 and 2 yo) could not share so we had to order a cot to get sleeping to function. Thet came very quickly and placed the cot and everything was solved.

There is a nice little 'house reef' at the resort for an easy early morning snorkel. The staff where very nice and generally tried but they worked at a different pace then you may wish. A coffee could easily take 15 minutes (and often did) then still be delivered to the wrong table. This actually happened then they took it from the other person after he had already added sugar (he may have even had his first sip) and gave to me. Naturally I gave it back to him.

Tips and Comments:
Do not use the hotel taxi service. They are 2-3 times more expensive and are less professional then some of the taxi's at the front gate. We ordered the hotel taxi for extra security for our trip to the airport. He drove at 140 km/hr down the highway while I sat with children on my lap. He then dropped us off at the domestic terminal so we had to walk with two kids and all our baggage through the carpark and over to another terminal. He also dropped me at the most out of the way place in Na'am Bay the first day I was there. In short, don't expect extra service for the extra money. A 'blue and white' taxi costs E£25-30 to Na'am Bay compared to E£65.

'Alf Leila Wa Leila' can be seen 500m up the road with all its onion domes. It was a great even with our children with a larger western/Egyptian buffet, belly dancer, snake charmer, whirling dervish dancer and a outdoor educational show with some horse riding. All this for E£200 / adult. Probably the most honest and best value dinner and show but some could call it cliched. Still we enjoyed our selves.

The hotel can be difficult to navigate with a stroller particularly if you want to get to the only heated pool with an assortment of kid-related stuff. There is a road around the parimeter but after a few days of doing this with screaming kids we found we could just get the club car to pick us up instead as a free service.

If you go into to Na'am Bay, the restaurant 'Abou el Sid' directly over the Hard Rock Cafe is the only place I found where they had authentic Egyptian food (beyond kofta and kebabs) and no pushy salesmen at the front door offering 'special rates'. A little oasis amongst the chaos. stongly recommended!
