We were part of 2 families with teenage children and were accommodated in the Bungalow style rooms - 2 per bungalow so we all had ample space! Our little complex was almost near the beach pool so it was very quiet. Rooms were spotless but tired and beds so hard - we asked for a mattress topper but I still felt uncomfortable and ended up sleeping on a folded duvet too. Air conditioning worked well but slightly noisy for my liking!

The food was excellent and we always found something we all liked. We visited the Italian and this was also excellent. The alcoholic drinks were a let down but saying that none of us are big drinkers anyway!

The beach was stunning and we spent all but two days here. You do need to get up early to get beds though. The jetty for snorkelling was good but there were times when it was shut due to the swell & rip current. Some of us saw a turtle one day which was a bonus! You can swim/snorkel off the beach at high tide which is worth doing if you are not a good swimmer or have children.

We booked a boat trip with Panorama who are based at the hotel and it was perfect!

We spent two days by the "activity" pool but could not cope with the loud music - we did not use the quite pool as it lost the sun early & we are beach lovers! The pools let down the hotel as they are in a bad state but we were informed they are being renovated in December.

Although there were only a few English at this hotel this did not cause us any problems at all.

I am so sad writing this review that currently Egyptian tourism is getting a bashing again as the Egyptians work so hard to make your holiday perfect.

Enjoyed the experience felt safe. The hotel is unsuitable for guests with mobility issues as there are many steps and slopes. On arrival our shower only had cold water and the sink taps had hot. This was fixed in the morning. Our room was cleaned daily and the towels changed. We were on a whistle stop tour of 5 nights. Loved snorkeling. The pools had slopes into them as well as steps. The food was variable and the waiters were good providing our drinks while we choose our meals and once our place was allocated we had it for that meal - a Russian couple tried to have our table but as it had our stuff on it their bolshy attitude didn't win over the staff, they were offered an alternative table. The best snorkeling was at the end of the jetty and not when the red flag was on display.there were meals in the open by the pool in the evening and one special meal at the Italian restaurant per week booked with views over the sea and beach, the food had to booked in advance which is ok if you are comfortable with planning in advance I prefer deciding on the evening. The comment card was in Russian so we did not complete it. The animation team didn't start on time in the evening.

We were able to board our flight before the flights were suspended fortunately.

This was our second visit to Nubian Island and once again it didn't disappoint. It was good to see old friends Jo (Guest Relations) who went out of her way to help ensure we were okay and enjoying our holiday. Maged (pool bar) always a smile and he was Top Banana as he says. Amr (Mr T) who always had time for a joke. Mohammad ( Bottom pool towels) always a good morning and a smile. In fact all the staff are a credit to the hotel. The only thing that let's it down is the entertainment during the day and especially the evening. More variety and more thought going into it needed.

Always plenty of food choice in the restaurants and delicious. Bar staff brilliant and just one more was a popular saying from them.

We were very sad to leave but will be back next year

this was our first time in Egypt and we chose to stay at the Nubian island hotel on a recommendation and i have to say it was a great choice
the hotel it self is fantastic and made even better by the staff each member of staff made us feel welcome
the room we stayed in was 777 and it was a 2 bedroom apartment and i must say it was very nice and clean nice big comfy bed nice big shower both rooms had air conditioning which was nice to have on to chill the rooms the only down side there was not enough lighting it was quite dark at night when you was trying to get ready to go out
the restaurant was nice and big also air conditioned so it was a pleasant place the food itself was outstanding there was a lot of variety so many dishes to choose from you never went hungry. the staff in there were brilliant couldn't do enough to help us and again made us feel welcome each time we went there
the complex had 2 pools one at the top and 1 at the bottom both pools could do with a lick of paint but apart from that they was ok nice and relaxing to sit by both pools had a bar and the staff here were brilliant too
there is also a Italian restaurant on the complex which is worth a visit the only thing worth noting is book a table first thing in the morning and choose your food it gets very busy
it has its own private beech which is again very nice and well maintained and nice to jump of the pier and go snorkelling
on a whole this hotel is very clean very friendly and well worth a stay again i cant say how much the staff make it a perfect stay and just to mention jo the public relation officer who was fantastic came to all her guests everyday to make sure everything was ok

This is the first time me and my partner have visited Egypt and stayed at this hotel.
I have to say it was one of the best holidays we have had! The food, scenery and the hotel were superb!
The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Maged the barman at the pool bar and Amar (Mr T ) they were always smiling and were constantly keeping us entertained!
The Guest relations lady Jo was extremely helpful and friendly and always went out of her way if you needed anything. These three made our holiday and we will miss them dearly!

The only downside I found was the Animation side of things, there was never any sort of structure and the night time entertainment is in definite need of a facelift!
The Karaoke book also needs bringing out the 90s.

All In all though a superb holiday was had and we are looking forward to coming back !
