We stayed for a month in this simple but well located studio cottage across the road from the beach. The cottage had everything we needed to be comfortable and independent. The owners, Karen and Edward, were helpful and friendly. We went snorkeling every day and paddled the kayak that came with the rental. We walked to the town of Savusavu every few days for groceries, which took about 40 minutes, and took the local bus back to the cottage. All in all we had a lovely stay in this tropical paradise.
1 review My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights with our 5-year-old daughter. We were initially very skeptic with the pics of the bure BUT to our amazement it was just too good to be true! For a very very affordable price, we had an amazing bure (more of a vacation villa for us ) facing the ocean, very clean and comfortable for our family of 3. We loved the view from our balcony and the kitchen had a a fridge and microwave plus a gas-stove to cook meals. Our go-to driver Ghopen was amazing and apart from the mosquitoes, my daughter absolutely loved trekking on the beach everyday around lunchtime to collect sea-shells! A great big "Vinaka" to Karen and Edward who answered all our questions and were amazing hosts! We wished we had stayed longer since we managed to stay well under our budget but have promised to return soon! Enjoy the pics (our favorite views and the road into Cousteau resort)

This is a dreamy and fabulous charming beachside cottage with wonderful hosts. The Bure had everything our family members needed in such a beautiful part of Savusavu. Immediately we felt on holiday here. The deck beckons you to sit and relax with a good book for a lazy afternoon. Karen is a wonderful host who absolutely went out of her way to help with our holiday arrangements and getting to know Savusavu and all it has to offer. She even assisted with arranging wedding plans for us for which we were so appreciative. We thoroughly reccomend the Bayside Bure and Karen and Ed for couples or families wanting to really relax and enjoy Savusavu.
