Absolutely amazing resort. We enjoyed every day we were there in paradise. The food, drinks (even cocktails at breakfast!!) the themed nights and kava time were outstanding. The staff at Namale are by far the most wonderful, friendly and professional staff we have ever encountered. Each and every staff member were so welcoming and genuinely happy, we felt like part of the very special Namale family. We are already planning our return. We cant wait!! Vinaka!!

Bula!

Thank you very much for leaving a wonderful review of Namale! We are thrilled to hear you had a great time on your in Fiji. We're glad our all inclusive dining met your expectations, and that you enjoyed our complimentary nightly cultural entertainment! Taking part in a traditional kava ceremony, lovo dinner, or meke performance is a very special way to authentically experience the amazing and hospitable culture of Fiji.

My husband and I spent 4 days at Namale. We arrived here after staying 4 nights at LikuLiku resort. It's always a "risk" going from one amazing resort to another as you are never sure if the next place will be "as good" so to speak. We loved our time at Namale it completely exceeded our expectations. The number 1 thing that made it so amazing are the staff who are genuine, happy, super friendly, funny and super eager to please.

The resort grounds are extensive with a bonus "fun room" called the Cava Bowl. Indoor bowling alley, air hockey, table tennis, pool, darts, indoor virtual golf simulator and a bar. This room alone would put a smile on any mans face! My husband loved it although it must have sucked that his wife kept beating him :)

We stayed in Bula 1 which has a beautiful outlook over the ocean. The room decor is a bit outdated but it's perfectly comfortable. Next time we want to book one of the rooms by the beach as they are a bit more separated where as our room was adjoining another. It's a non issue unless you end up next to some randy honeymooning couple.

Food is amazing, the nightly performances are so much fun and the Cava trio are hilarious! Not sure the Cava helped me relax as it's supposed to, had the opposite effect on me for whatever reason!

Lots of personal touches from the start of your stay to the finish.

You won't regret coming here if you want to get away from it all and feel super spoilt and super relaxed.

Bula Angie,

Vinaka for your kind review! We are overjoyed that you and your husband had a memorable stay with us. It's great that you were able to experience the island of Vanua Levu in addition to another island - Savusavu here in the northern islands is a particularly wonderful way to authentically experience Fiji's rich culture and undisturbed natural beauty.

We are glad our resort facilities and private villas exceeded your expectations, and are glad you took advantage of some of our indoor activities in addition to our complimentary land and water-based activities, such as snorkeling, horseback riding, and water skiing. Hopefully you let your husband gain a point here and there :)

It's great that you took part in a traditional kava ceremony with our Kava Band Boys, even if it wasn't for you! It's authentic cultural experiences like that that make Fiji so memorable.

Just let us know when you are ready to return to paradise and we'll hold that beachside bure for you!

Vinaka vakalevu (thank you very much!),

Wow, wow and wow. This resort and spa exceeded our expectations. Service, staff, food, drinks and facilities are second to none. The love and care shown by the staff can not be expressed in words we felt part of thier family. The cultural experiences with the staff and thier extended families was one of the many highlights of our stay at Namale. We will never forget our luxury escape. Bula vinaka to our new found Namale family. To the staff, thanks for making our visit to paradise so special.

Overall the staff are the greatest part of the Namale experience. You can teach skills, but I don't think anyone has such innate service mentality as the Fijians, and none more so than the staff at Namale. We have left with many of the staff as friends.
Wifi is free, but patchy. But remember, you are well "off the grid" in this part of Fiji, so I went in with the expectation that there would be none at all.
About the only negative experience came from other guests, who arrived late into our trip and were very poorly behaved on their first night. As a small resort, such people can have a big impact on the atmosphere for everyone else. The management seemed to be onto it, as the couple in question were a lot better after their first night. I'd ask if you are considering Namale please go with a respectful attitude, both towards the staff (who are beautiful people as well as being excellent at their jobs) and other guests around you who are there to relax. If you are looking for a place to get crazy and loud this is not the place for you. If you are looking for peaceful, friendly atmosphere and are willing to give the same, you will find Namale a great experience.

Bula Wayne,

Thank you for taking time to leave us a positive review here on TripAdvisor, and for highlighting our dedicated staff - everyone here strives to extend the warmest hospitality and personalized service Fiji is known for!

It is unfortunate that others' poor behavior impacted your stay, but I do hope it was resolved to your satisfaction. Savusavu is indeed a destination for a secluded, relaxing, and romantic escape, and our top priority is delivering that unique, luxury experience to each and every guest. The best part of an intimate stay is the ability to craft a customized itinerary with the perfect amount of relaxation at the spa, adventure around the island, and cultural experience such as a visit to a local traditional village.

We hope to see you again in the not too distant future!

Just had a wonderful week at a resort in every sense of the word. A staff to guest ratio of about 6 to 1 means the service is nothing short of amazing. What really stood out however was that it was genuine, not forced and maybe not even trained and this, in itself, means great management working with a great team of people. Room was amazing and the whole resort has enough little rough edges to have a more authentic natural Fijian feel. It is not a glass and marble castle but an upmarket Fijian village. Food was plentiful and used great local produce, even if the food style itself was a little below the rest of the experience. That said, if you didn't like the menu, just change it and in most instances every wish was accommodated. I had expected in an "all inclusive" package to be served wines and drinks at the lower end of the spectrum, but, instead, French champagne, top line wines and endless cocktails with top shelf spirits and mixers. So many inclusive activities as to be exhausting if you did them all. Namale is a honeymooners paradise and a great place for couples to unwind and reconnect. I have stayed in "better" places, eaten better food and certainly stayed in resorts with "better" facilities but don't think I have ever stayed anywhere where everything comes together like this place and is topped off by staff who just seem to go out of their way to be nice to their guests, ever single time. Just remember Bill.....you can't freeze a mud crab =) Bula and Vinaka to you and your crew. We WILL be back, maybe with a group of friends

Bula and thank you for sharing your Namale experience here on Trip Advisor. So glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and I know that the staff will be grateful for your comments.
I have already met with our Chef's regarding Mud Crabs and have implemented the new SOP. Thanks for taking the time to share that with me last Wednesday night following the Island Dance group. I enjoyed our conversation and we look forward to a return visit.
