BULA!!!
My wife and I stayed at Namale for our honeymoon in October of 2009. Having traveled through Europe, Central and South America and much of the Caribbean, we can agree that Namale has the most natural beauty of anywhere we have ever visited. The resort is immense and great care has been taken to preserve the natural elements. For example, buildings and structures have been constructed around trees. We stayed in a bure called Duavata, which means "unity," and is made up of 4 individual bures with a tree house! Duavata has a huge pool that overlooks the ocean, incredibly romantic. My wife and I spent the greater portion of our time here. A wonderful experience was the outdoor showers, which we both enjoyed!
The service is, without a doubt, more than you can ever imagine. My wife and I were literally treated like rock stars or celebrities of some sort. There is nothing that you could ask for, that they would say no. (within reason, I'm sure.) One night we were watching movies in the Kava Bowl and asked if we could eat dinner there. They not only brought us dinner but the chef made us home made potato chips to snack on during the movie. The Kava Bowl, is Disney Land for adults. It has a bowling alley, golf simulator, video games, foos ball, a pool table, every board game you can think of, and Apple TV! One day the staff took us to a waterfall and served us a very private lunch. It was incredible to say the least. The staff knew our favorite foods and drinks by the second day. My wife is a vegetarian, and was always accommodated. On the subject of food, before booking, my wife and I read all of the reviews and always laughed at the guy who raved about the soup. Well, its for a reason, their soup is out of this world!
Of note, My wife and I received a spa treatment called, "Moonlight Magic." To date, it is the most memorable spa going experience we have had. The spa itself is unlike any we have seen before. It is visually stunning, luxurious, and completely therapeutic. Their "hydration room," has huge soaking tubs that are infused with different aromas. There is also a waterfall, jacuzzi, cold plunge and sauna.
I am not a serious scuba diver, but figured I would take advantage while there. The dive shop gave a quick and informed lesson and we were off. We dove at a place called, "The Dream House." I saw sharks and loved it!
A few nights a week the resort calls in The Band Boys, who sing, tell ghost stories, and above all mix up some Kava. Its a great time and not to be missed.
My wife and I were fortunate enough to meet a gentleman there named, Neil, who was responsible for all of the water treatment on the resort. We learned that all of the water underwent a treatment process called reverse osmosis. This treatment allows for the cleanest possible water for consumption, which we enjoyed very much.
We spent some time getting to know the managers of Namale. Ron and Margaret, take great care in assuring that all of the guests receive an extraordinary experience. We most assuredly look forward to returning in the near future. One last thing: It is worth every penny!!!

We've traveled Europe, Carribean, Brazil, and of course the United States, but have found nothing that compares to Namale Resort. Dining at the waterfall was magical, the rooms were beyond comfortable, the food spectacular and the staff and mangement were friendly and courteous, more like family.

It is hard to find the words to really explain what an incredible time my husband and I had in Namale. We searched long and hard for our honeymoon destination as we love to travel, and after experiencing Namale, we know there is no better place on earth to spend your honeymoon. It had everything we were looking for....relaxation, great food, adventure, lots to do, beautiful grounds, and a first class staff. We were treated with so much love and respect from the staff....they truly wanted to make our experience the absolute best it could be. We had the perfect mix of romance and adventure. The Namale staff was always thinking a step ahead of us. Weather it was activities in the afternoon or romantic lunch and dinner at different location on property. Our honeymoon activities included relaxing at the spa, kayaking down the salt river, scuba diving, jet skiing, snorkling, wake boarding, knee boarding, eating lunch at the waterfall, horseback riding on the beach and experiecing the culture first hand. Best of all, it was all included in the price, so we knew what we were spending and didn't have to worry about finances on our honeymoon. We plan on returning to Namale to celebrate an anniversary in the future. If you are at all interested in going to Fiji, this is the place to go. Thank you for the Namale staff for making our honeymoon so incredibly special. We are very grateful....

A very unique experience rather than a hotel stay. Each private bure is individual in design built around the vegetations and rocks. Attention to detail in every regard it is a truly wonderful "piece of paradise". All inclusive including all alcolholic drinks. Just loved it!

My girlfriend and I just returned from the (Tony Robbins' owned) Namale Resort and let us say - if you have $7-15K and 7-8 days of vacation...with no children under 16 to take along - the Namale Resort is 'EXCLUSIVE' in all respects in Fiji. We arranged our trip through Costo Travel online. Costco and Namale took care of all the reservations, transfers, taxes, and confirmation follow-ups. After a 10 hour flight we arrived at Nadi on the main island to await our domestic transfer (1hour) flight to our island. Once we arrived at our island we were met by the driver from Namale resort and whisked away 2 miles to the grand front entrance. Upon entering the gate we drove through the 2acre hourse paddock (7 hourses) on the left and beach on the right. The air smelled FRESH and GREEN! The horses were relaxed and strong, beach calm and inviting. We arrived at Reception and were greeted in song by the resort staff - led by managing couple Ron & Margaret (Ron former corporate pilot and Margaret former corporate Marketing executive) after song & tropical drink we were escorted to the main restaurant for breakfast (all meals & alcohol included). From the 1st moment we arrived it became apparent - although we needed a few days to adjust - that we honestly were the center of their attention and the staff were awaiting our request. Whether we wanted to dive the next morning, or ride horses that afternoon. If we wanted to book a guided hike to the resorts' waterfall and subsequent private catered lunch at the table situated just next to the falls - all we had to do was ask. If we wanted a bottle of champagne chilled and waiting for us next to the covered hanging (king) bed on the beach at 4pm that day - just ask. If we wanted dinner deliverd to the 'Kava Bowl' that evening (Kava Bowl is a building w/2 lane bowling alley, video golf practice range/play, air hockey & billiard tables, foosball table, darts, bar, iTune music (1000 songs maybe?) Namale movies (500 maybe?), xtra comfy sofa & chairs to drop the big screen and watch a movie while having dinner brought in. Waverunning, waterskiing/kneeboarding/tubing, snorkeling??? Just ask! Each morning we were met by Activities Director, Manager, Water Activity Manager to see what we were interested in doing. One evening a band 'Kava Boys' came and played & drank 'Kava' with us. One evening a group of villagers in native attire came and performed tribal dances. One evening a choir from the Methodist mission came and performed for us. We enjoyed a personal Coconut show and trip to the processing plant - walking in and around all machinery spaces -where 'Copra' is churned and pressed into coconut oil and feed for export. We went to the J. Hunter pearl shop then rode the glass bottom boat out to the pearl farm where the pearl oysters hung into the sea from line growing to their desired size. We went for the sun/diving but the rain gods blessed us with little sun, which only gave us a greater opportunity to immerse ourselves into the Fijiian culture. After 3 days the management felt bad about the rain we had had to that point and upgraded/moved us to a Bure overlooking the inlet/beach! From our deck (20' above the beach) we had a wooden walkway out to the top of another rock where our....infinity pool was set into the rock. Our trip also included a complimentary 'post-flight' relaxing massage and wow! What a spa they have! Open, inclusive, and available for use 24 hrs a day. Beautiful views and very ;) relaxing evenings were had by all! The diving was gorgeous from the abundant coral - you name it, we saw it - to the sharks, parrot-fish among the many other tropical fish we say, sea cucumbers. Email me for any Qs: (--)
In summary - we went for the sun but we'll return for the 1st class/warm/accomodating staff :) To them - 'Sototale' and 'Kerekere'.
