Daku Resort was just the best experience my family and i have had when not staying in a 5 Star Hotel because the treatment we received was 5 Star! Owners JJ & Della Rothrie Jones were just so genuinely delightful that my teenage daughter almost stay on as much as they wanted her to as well. Cant tell you just how wonderful and attentive the staff headed by Aubrey Whippy were. Seriously A1!!! The hotel facilities are good value for money, 3 of us stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment then moved to the big villa on the hill when other family arrived. It was spacious, clean and the view of Savusavu Bay to die for. Food was good but i wish they wouldn't plate baby lobsters - they need to be given a chance to grow please. But there is lots and lots to do, kayaking, walks, yoga, waterfalls, snorkelling, swimming, diving, fishing and yet so serene, ideal for relaxing and and reading or pounding on my laptop as i did. Loved loved loved our 10 days there and have told the whole world they need to stay at Daku. Savusavu is real Paradise! Ellen Knight and Family.....

Room Tip: The Villas on the hill with 70 steps means you gotta be fit!

We stayed at Daku resort in May 2017 with our 2 sons (5 years old and 9 months). Daku has a lovely, family run feel about it. Peaceful and quiet, with stunning views over Savusavu bay, and only a short distance from the town.

We had a family room which was HUGE! and overlooked the large front lawn - so lovely to sit and relax. The pool was basic but enjoyable.

Breakfast was sufficient, with toast, cereal and some form of eggs.

We took a walk up to the yoga area which has absolutely amazing views from it's elevated position.

Whether on my own, with my wife, or with extended family, Daku has a great range of villas and bures to suit. Apart from the accommodation, it is the Daku family that makes it a special place to stay. JJ and Delia, Aubrey, George, Peggy, Josh and the gang make you so welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Savusavu is a special place. Stay at Daku or buy your own place! Vinaka!

Very friendly and welcoming - home from home. JJ always a great host, Aubrey,George and the rest of the team are like family to us whenever we come and stay. Daily special cocktails are a great new addition and George has some brilliant recipes that go down well as a Sundowner . There is a good range of bures for individuals or families

we only stopped in for a drink as we were staying at Hotsprings which is under renovation in the bar and restaurant areas , we ordered a Pina colada and a sunset cruise , both drinks were revolting , we didn't finish either as the alcohol content was way to potent , moreover the coconut taste was horrible .The basket of chips miserable ,enough to feed a minor bird , please train the staff to correctly mix a quality cocktail as we left feeling mediocre .

Room Tip: donot try the cocktails .
