Stayed in this hotel last year in Sep 2010 for one night...
It is very well located.. Rooms were lavish,clean and comfortable with all the modern facilities available.
The staff was well trained and responsible.. we were satisfied with their service.
complete value for money.. I liked it and would recommend it to everyone.

After reading the reviews here, I placed the booking through their website. Just stayed for one night, it’s a triple room which, comes with one double bed & one single bed and cost us Rs. 2090 per night. The room & bathroom are clean and neat, understandably it’s relatively new hotel. The staffs are polite & very helpful too. They also have opened a restaurant recently on the first floor of the hotel. Well, the food is good but nothing to shout about. The best is still Hotel Mayura, hands down =). Location is also good, just minutes away from Govindaraja Perumal Temple & Tirupati railway station. It was a good stay overall.

While Chakrie Residency in Tirupati is neat, clean and comfy, they made a convenient blunder in our 6 rooms booking. They gave us 5 rooms instead with 2 of the rooms were triple room as they oversold the rooms. The triple rooms come with 3 single beds and larger than double rooms. Luckily the triple rooms were large and comfortable. Anyway we were so tired to argue with the hotel staff that we accepted their offer of 3 double rooms and 2 triple rooms. They promised a refund on the double room. However it was not given back to us immediately. Apparently it will be given to the local agent and the local agent will give it my travel agent. And my agent will hand it over to me. I will have to wait and see if I will ever see the daylight of the refund. There was another blunder the following day; there was no complimentary breakfast as promised in our tour voucher. I am not sure if it was the mistake of the hotel or travel agent. Most probably the travel agent screwed it up for us, as the hotel does not even have an in-house restaurant. In term of service, the front office guys were very polite and accommodating. They are efficient and organized. They managed to arrange a quick rental car for short 3 hours trip even though it was late at about 8 pm to go up Tirumala hill. And here you are pretty safe from tip stalkers. And wow...the hot water worked. It was a pleasant stay here.

p.s: The local travel agent Mr Tamilarasu had already refunded us for the breakfast before I flew back home. So thanks a mil.

The Chakrie Residency is located startegically and is priced just right at Tirupati . Unlike most other hotels which are famous and get full well in advance . this hotel is relatively unknown and hence is available for a quick stay at all times . As per the mgmt of the hotel is it started off sometime in Dec-09. Rooms are clean , service is very good . The disadvantage is that it does not have a restaurant of its own hence one needs to tip the waiters to get food from outside .Being brand new , the mgmt want to impress you to spread the name by word of mouth .
