This is on we of the most hyped places I have been to. We were a group of 6 families who decided to have a get together over weekend and here is what we experienced:

- The USABLE part of the resort is not more than 10 Acres. The rest is farmland (called as herbal garden) and other areas not at all usable for any recreation.

- The rooms are very basic (one star standard is better), smelly and contain colours on floor and walls which easily comes off and sticks to your clothes. The rooms stink also.

- The WC of bathrooms of several rooms remains choked most of the times.

- The service (if at all it is there) is abysmal and sub-standard

- The so called sumptuous meal is a very simple village standard Indian food. The raw material is NOT organic or grown in their farms but procured from nearby mandi.

- In the name of farm animals you have 2 small ducks, a few hens and a few rabbits.

- The cost they charge for room plus food (Rs. 7,500 and above) is totally not worth what you get.

I would recommend to take a day visit only to this place and NOT take a night package as it is absolutely not worth the price.

We visited with our extended family yesterday and stayed for a night. It is an absolutely terrible place at the price being charged. Very poor service, substandard food, almost no activities, just plain lawn and you are left for yourself. Rooms also have severe issues, leading to one of us asking for room change at 5 AM in the morning.
avoid by All means

I visited Surjivan with my family for a day picnic. I really liked the place a lot. My kids enjoyed so much that they didn't want to come back even. The food is fresh and a like a home cooked meal. The staff is very friendly, courteous and helpful. We enjoyed playing our childhood games - pithoo, Gilli danda etc. Kids spent their afternoon in the swimming pool. Entering this place felt like entering into the nature's lap. It is all greenery around, lush green lawns. The ambience is very soothing and refreshing. Overall it is a place to be, one must visit it once for sure

Took a day trip with family to Surjivan which is 1.5 hours away from Delhi. The highlights of the place are the swimming pool and the green lawns. They turn up loud music in the evening for people to shake a leg. Ultimately you end up waiting for dinner without having much to do as it is covered in the Rs 1050 per head charge that you pay at entry.
