We visited twice because the food was so good, if you pick the right night they have live music which adds to the atmosphere, would recommend

A must to dine in when you visit Fort Kochi, Kerala, India. We called in a couple of times for a beer on our way back to our residence and were so impressed we decided to dine there. The food, service and ambiance were all superb so we went back again and again. Such a high level we expected to pay over the odds but we were pleasantly surprised. Definitely worth a visit!

With a choice of dining en plein air in the courtyard or under cover with fans (but not sealed off) so be aware of flying bugs/mozzies and bring spray. Restaurant has very high standards of quality and presentation and cleanliness and takes itself fairly seriously. Fancy descriptions litter the menu, and a self-conscious link to European and other cultures is clear. For all that, we were cautious, avoiding any meats, which limited our choices. Husband had prawns which were lovely, and my veggie selection was excellent. It was a good meal, quite pricey, particularly once we realised how reasonably meals are priced in local restaurants. Of our 4 nights, we only ate here once, mainly because the vegetarian choices were rather limited and dull.
For westerners who are nervous of eating locally, this should certainly be on the list.

The place is quiet, the food is delicious especially the thali vegetarian and the country. Fruit cocktails are succulent. The staff is very kind. It is a shame the place close tot lmais you can eat until 21h.
