Four of us ( 3 males, one female), 70+, experienced budget travelers (2 from USA, 2 from Taiwan) stayed here for two nights in early December 2015. It has a wonderful view of the lake and historic buildings. Most of what you want to see is easily walkable.
There are two properties with the same name and run by the same folks. We stayed in the one with 2 roof decks, one covered, one open. There are divans and pillows for lounging.
The rooms are small, and simple, cheerfully painted, with huge beds, roomy bathrooms (plenty of hot water). Both of ours had a small mosquito-proof balcony with superb views. This season we did not need AC, but the fan worked well. I developed a nasty flu so spent the day in the room. The bright light and lovely stencils made this bearable. There's a small table and a niche with shelves for storing stuff. Be sure to ask for an additional towel and toilet paper.
The restaurant dished out tasty Indian food; other cuIsines are available. Breakfast is not included and is available from 8 am.
The Internet did not work in the rooms, but did work on the roof. The staff is delightful and friendly. We will definitely come back.More
