Almost did not make it here as the taxi driver insisted that we go to another restaurant instead. It looked dark outside but don't be fooled by the driver that it is closed.

We ordered Package C for Rp660,000 and it was definitely enough for 2 pax. 3 lobsters, 2 crabs, 10 prawns and a few clams. Came with 2 bottles of beer, soup and a plate of local vegetables. The crabs were our fav. The rest were so-so.

Be sure to get here by 6pm to enjoy the sunset. The beach itself is not clean though. There was a bunch of musicians who would come to your table to serenade you (and for tips also, of course).

Staff were friendly and even called Blue Bird taxi for us after we were done. Don't believe driver that it will be difficult to get a ride back. We only paid Blue Bird $6 for a 30 min ride back to our hotel.

We chose this cafe based on TripAdvisor reviews and I’m really not sure why it is so highly rated. Perhaps it is the best of a bad bunch? It is one of about 8 cafes in a row all with chairs and tables on the beach arranged to maximise the view of the sunset over the ocean. It really is a beautiful sunset and a lovely place to watch it from, but it is the same view from each cafe. Attentive staff, nice cold beer, nice wine. Perhaps it is the food that sets them apart? If this is considered the best then I would avoid the other cafes! We chose one of the set menu options. A fish soup to start that tasted like, well, fish in warm water. The vegetables were a bowl of what looked like seaweed, tasteless clams, rubbery squid, over cooked prawns. The fish (I’m not sure what it was) was nice though. It came whole and was well cooked and flavoursome. My advice would be to grab a table and enjoy a drink or two while the sun sets (truely beautiful) then move on to another place (off the beach) for dinner.

Chose Lia Cafe after sorting through trip advisor reviews.
All the seafood cafes along the beach are almost the same, which does make it difficult to choose which restaurant to try.Lia does have very fresh seafood at good prices plus they are honest in their weighing and charging which is a risk at Jimbaran Bay as many of the restaurants have rigged weighing scales.Be very careful of this practice as it ends up being very expensive and you have no alternative but to pay.
The food is nicely cooked, the service is good,is definitely worth a visit.

The seafood is great, fresh and tasty. Comparing to Menega cafe the Lia cafe is better because the cooked food doesn’t have coconut aftertaste.

One of comments proposed to ask staff for “garlic butter” seasoning - thanks for that idea, the food was delicious and you could taste it’s flavor.

Prices are reasonable for this location (all in thousands of rupies and per kilo):
240 - jumbo prawns
150 - squid
70 - clams
900 - live lobster
And if you take anything - you automatically will get a bowl of fish bouillon, salad, bucket of rice and some fruits (usually watermelon) for desert.

Also, drinks prices are:
250k - bottle of wine
25k - coconut
Coke and beer around 20-30k

Also you could ask the staff and they will arrange bluebird taxi for you
