Owner description: Sekumpul Waterfall is touted as the most beautiful waterfall in Bali. It is fairly close to Niagara Falls Lemukih, only about 2 km away. Understandably, the Village and Village Lemukih Sekumpul indeed neighbors. To see Sekumpul Waterfall close, it takes a bit of effort and struggle. From the parking lot, you have to walk quite far away, down a dirt road, down the hundreds of stairs, and across the river. When you ride a motorcycle, you can still ride from the parking lot (near the ticket window), to the end of the road paving. After paving the way out, the road turned into a narrow dirt road (footpath). Not long down the path, you arrived at a blank bale (gazebo) with Niagara Falls Sekumpul incredible lure.

Arrived around 10 am in Sekumpul village, met our trekking guide and get some explanation about the trekking. First one hour, we saw rice fields and big river. Then enter local fruit plantation, stop at one of Balinese family compound. In the middle of the trekking we take a bath at natural water spring pool which is the main source of Sekumpul waterfall. It is located on top of the waterfall. magnificent view from up there. Last hour we again get into the water right under the waterfall. At the end of the trekking we had lunch at our guide house. That was really authentic balinese lunch cooked by the wife of our guide. Did it 3 times already and we still enjoy it.

stunning waterfalls! it hasn't been exploited by tourists just yet, so take advantage and visit these beautiful waterfalls. most probably you will need a guide (really cheap - 20.000-50.000 rp) if you want to reach second waterfall and have a swim in there. Also you will need comfy shoes, waterproof camera to take stunning photos. spend around 3-4 hours to enjoy the scenery. Highly recommend!

We were recommended this place by our cab driver. We booked a tour guide to help us navigate through the waterfalls and I am glad that we did otherwise we would not have been able to cross the river to stand under the water falls.

The area is really clean and pure.

The guide, Raj was very experienced and even gave us mangosteins from the forest before we left.

We nearly didn't book this tour from Lovina Beach, but boy are we are sure glad we did!

You start by walking down a well paved path and stairs to get a few nice elevated views of the waterfalls from afar. Then, our guide asked us if we'd like to get closer. We said yes, and it still didn't register when he mentioned we'd have to cross the river 4 times.

Now this was admittedly a bit physically challenging in bare feet and sandals, as it seemed a bit dangerous in the knee-deep water of the rapidly moving river. However, our guide helped us keep our valuables dry and the payoff was well worth it being under the falls and with nobody else around. To experience the sheer power of the falling water and the surprisingly relaxing surrounding pool of water was something that simply wouldn't be possible in the U.S. given the danger and legal liability issues.

From here, we went to another set of waterfalls that was equally stunning, though there was some garbage pooled up in the rocks at the base. During our 10 days in Bali, this experience was our favorite, slightly edging out our tour of some of the attractions in Ubud.

If you consider yourself physically fit and not afraid of wading through rivers and rough terrain, this is the tour for you. Just bring a swimsuit, some form of waterproof pouch, and footwear that can grip slippery rocks and allow you to wade through rapids.
