I've been to ARTOTEL in Surabaya and Jakarta before. Design wise, this is the best so far. Perhaps it is supported by its location, a corner of busy Sanur area. Surrounded by shophouses and local business plus nearby five-star hotel. It's street side cafe next to the entrance gave a nice ambience.

The design of interior of the lobby cum exhibition area is a strong statement of the art-centric hotel.
Room is very spacious and practically design. Not sure of the hotel rank, but no problem for me to give it a 4-star category.

The only minus point in the bedroom was the thick and puffy towels were already worn out and not well laundry. From floor mat, hand towel and shower towels are equally not in pristine condition.

As the street cafe, it will be tough to compete in Bali cafe scenes as the attitude of service is still a typical hotel slow-motion attitude. Friendly staff but not as responsive as service in an independent bistro / cafe.

We are very happy with everything. Excellent food, massage, Friendly and helpful staff. We were on two tours wich was also a pleasure. Just enough proximity to the beach and town. Cozy rooftop pool...

We stayed a couple of nights in a Studio room with 2 twin beds. Loved the Art on the walls, and the Art installations throughout the property. The rooftop bar had a great menu for late dinners.
Breakfast buffet was wonderful ...even found guests from nearby hotels who came to Artotel to eat.
A short walk takes you to the beach.
