going to location is easy ... after parking your car, you will enter the gate and paying IDR. 15.000,- per person for local ... and about IDR. 160.000 for foreigner... after that, you have to go up by taking steps about 500 meters and you will see the water fall.. you might see some monkeys around but they all are fine as long as you do not feed them ... they have 2 toilets on the way and some food stalls...

It toom about 1.5 - 2 hour from Solo to get to this place. It's better to arrive here early at 8 or 9 am so it wont be too hot (and too crowded) when we arrive at the waterfall. The ticket is very cheap.

From parking area, we go down the stairs to reach at the waterfall. But the path is already been settle (maybe a little bit slippery when it rains), but already from rocks not soil like at Coban Pelangi in Malang. We cannot get too near with the waterfall because of the rocks but we can feel the wind and the water splash already.

There are a lot of monkeys on the way to the waterfall so be careful, don't bring any food and keep your belongings in your pocket or your bag. They didn't hesitate to be near human and come for your trash.

In October 2016, two visitors died here - a tripadvisor reviewer who saw the corpses being dragged up the gorge called it murder, but according to the local media, what happened is that they had fed the monkeys, which had stormed the place vying for peanuts, which had caused a tree branch to collapse and fall on the visitors, and as it was a slow day, help arrived really late and the died on the way to the hospital.

Whether true or not, this gloomy story for me sums up the atmosphere of this awful, dark, dank, unsafe, dangerous site. Lots and lots of slippery, wet stairs made from sharp stones down to the waterfall, not always with handrails, and nothing or nobody to bring you up again. Entrance fee for non-Indonesians is exhortative. Once you are at the waterfall, well, it's a waterfall. Water falls nicely from high above, and you're not supposed to climb onto the rocks below, but everyone does anyway.

But here is a tip: If you are at the bottom and need to go back and it's just too rainy or awful or dangerous, go to the *second* exit, which is even further down - it is not easy to find as signage is just really weak (if you come by a quite dark giant statue of a cobra fighting a toad, it's the right direction), but there will be guys with scooters who will drive you back up the hill for a reasonable fee.

My highlight of Grojogan was to leave the place, first the park and then the entire area.

Located in karanganyar, about 2 hours from solo.the entrance fee is 17000 for local tourist.many monkeys find food in the entrance gate, so be carefull with your goods.the condition is very fresh and natural, to reach the waterfall you must go down along 2500 ladder steps but your struggle will pay with the waterfall grojogan sewu.if you are not have a strength to reach it you can ride a horse its about 100000.

This waterfall is actually quite good and the weather were also relaxing. But we need to walk long enough to reach the waterfall.
This place is cheap for local so you will find too many people in the waterfall which reduced its beauty.
