I found Tumaini Cottage via Twitter. Shortly after messaging them, I received a phone call from Crispin, (Andy the owner's son), who lives in the States. After reading the reviews on TA and speaking with Crispin, I decided Tumaini would be a good pick.
Upon arrival to Tumaini and meeting Andy and Lillian, I knew I was not going to be disappointed. They are so welcoming and hospitable, making sure all of my needs were met.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. The grounds are gorgeous and peaceful. I ate breakfast and dinner there every day, the food was delicious.
If Arusha is suffering from power failures, Andy is prepared with a generator and lanterns should you need them. The internet works great there too, should you be traveling with a laptop.
If you're looking to travel with a group and need meeting space, they have it. I'm a meeting and event planner by profession and was very impressed by the meeting space they have for about 40 people.
Andy was able to arrange for a driver for me the day I needed one. They also have bike rentals!!
You will not be disappointed staying at Tumaini Cottage. I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in Arusha.More
