Stayed with the only other Kees I've ever met. my names Case too. Bungalows are average, however price is cheap. Kees can help you with everything you need as he gets the lowest prices around. Would stay here again. disclaimer. if you go to similan islands make sure u stay overnight as all the tourists leave and it is amazing!!!

The owner is very helpful and cannot do enough for you. A very nice man. The huts/rooms were a tad on the worn out side. This area of Khao Lak was very disappointing. After one night we got in the car and drove on to much better (& cheaper) places...

The resort is at the far north of Khao Lak, and a short walk to the beach. The beach is OK but nothing special. The road from the resort to the main road is like running the gauntlet of "no I don't want a suit" "no I don't want a massage" - and "no I don't want a taxi". Blinking annoying!
However, the resort is probably the best budget one in the area - and price/performance is what matters. Its not 5* luxury, but for the money its great value. Cleaned daily; fresh towels daily; and owner could not be more helpful. Food good. And yeah, not top quality furniture or fittings but nothing to moan about. The owner cares - our shower tripped and he was on it straight away and had the breaker changed. Top service.
Our only "complaint" which is just the way it is, is the bungalow upper walls are thin and in the fan rooms the windows are open (with mozzie nets). This measn you can hear lots of stuff going on, Same as in many resorts that are similar.
Recommended? Yes - deserves its #1 spot among pricier places. Would we go back? Probably if we were going to go to Khao Lak again which we probably won't

Room Tip: If you can get an AC room, then you can keep windows closed which may make it quieter

This very positive review is much appreciated. One minor point though: the windows in the non airconditioned rooms CAN be closed, though sometimes this might be a bit difficult when they have been left open for a long time. It is a pity the guest writing this review did not ask me to take care of this problem.

The resort has bungalows with A/C and fan at budget prices and it's
in a quiet location around 200 meters from Bang Niang beach.
Bungalows are basic but nice, clean with a big bathroom, hot water,
TV, fridge and free WiFi. There is a restaurant open all day and you
can book trips for the islands. The Dutch owner speaks a lot of
languages, English, German, Thai. No credit cards accepted for now.
Google the resort name for info about prices and Khao Lak in general.

Hey All,

My girlfriend and I stayed at this place in April when we were in Khao Lak. It was extremely hot and the off season but we had an awesome time at this place thanks to its owner, kees (spelling is probably wrong)... We rented his sweet motor bike and cruised to these jungle waterfalls and other beaches. We ate lots of meal at the restaurant with incredible food (some of the best we had in thailand, seriously).... He helped book the rest of our trips and in general was awesome to talk to and is super smart.... I meant to write this months ago... it's nothing too crazy or fancy but we had a nice bungalow with a fan and our own bathroom for very reasonable rates and getting to talk to kees about thailand, life, etc and hear his stories of the community and its recovery from the Tsunami was super awesome. He literally brokered our travel fees for the rest of our time in thailand....... so helpful.

Great place, Kees------ The American guy who plays poker and was with his girlfriend... we were there same time as the older couple that stayed with you for a month....
