We went there for one night for outing. We stayed at a small resort/home stay close by the park arragned by the trip origanizer.
The park is beutiful and rich of nature. The environment is well conserved, having fresh air and very natural. Three- four hours drive from Bangkok. Good to come but you establish a purpose and program for the trip so that you can get the best out of the tirp. Recommend to take some medicine or first aid kits and mosquito repellent.
Phone reception in some area is not good, recommend to have spare sime card on alternative network. Good luck with the trip :)

We decided to visit the park on the recommendation of a friend, it is quite close to Hua Hin, so decide to make a day of it. The drive is very nice,
Upon leaving the main highway the road meanders up the mountain and will take you through farmland and temples that are well worth stopping and exploring.

Eventually reaching the National Park with all of its flora and fauna. The dam is very impressive and was spilling water whilst we were there which was awe inspiring to see the power of water as it was released to the canal.

It is a very stunning place to visit for travellers enjoying nature, their are, as always, the monkey troupes that will take an interest, but it is best not to feed them, as they become accustomed to free hand outs and then expect to receive food.

The suspension bridge which connects to one of the lakes islands is currently out of service due to awaiting repair the to its walkway.

There are boat trips available to take you to the other islands where once again monkeys will come to see you, even swimming out to the boat!!!

On the mountain the occasional coffee shop can be found offering refreshment in the most peaceful location overlooking the reservoir.

Only 3hrs driving from Bangkok, a proper 4WD is required for deeply access. It's home of many wildlife and possibly Thailand's top birds and butterflies watching location. Also good for watching Milky Way and morning mist.

It was very pleasant to discover a part of this national park. I saw only the water fall area until level 5 which was the last level opened to the public. very quiet and almost refreshing comparing to the heat of Thailande. Make sure you wear proper shoes. For my part I had tennis shoes and plastic shoes to go into the water and even with that equipment I fell very violently on a sharp rock because it was very slippery so that I had to end my walk because i badly cut my front part of my leg and it required to go to the hospital to get stiches. I am especially thankful and grateful to all local rangers and toursists as well as two sweddish women who helped me to come back safe to the check point.
Thailand is a great country with very nice people.
