As to the building & infrastructure itself? Even Centara Hotels will have to admit that this is an aged, rather neglected building with old infrastructure, poorly finished decorations with old fixtures, fittings in need of upgrade or refurbishing.

Centara Hat Yai could be touched up to have that old world feel of an almost by-gone era, not an heritage hotel but an older grand establishment. Alas not in its present state of neglect. A shame as a lick of paint, repaired upholstery on soft furnishings, foam dry cleaned carpets, repainted walls, improved lighting, decent TV’s & connectivity or aerials delivering reasonable pictures etc could all improve the hotel dramatically.

In the hotel’s defence, their small 80 meter square fitness suite fitted out exclusively with American manufactured Precor / Icarian resistance & cardio equipment is certainly a nice touch situated adjacent to the reasonable swimming pool & sun deck this is a great feature for hotel guests & very useful for active guests. Nice touches with ice cold scented towels for after your workout & good changing rooms linked if you have a late checkout.
