We stayed here for 3 weeks and so eventually it became like a home away from home for us.

The hotel looks great from the outside with Thai touches that make you feel very welcome. The interior however is a bit of a shocker - a lot of moisture damage in the bathrooms, stains on the bedding, furniture outdated and peeling wallpaper. If it wasn't for the price and location, I would have been horrified but at the end of the day we opted to stay in a more local area rather than the city centre in a chain hotel.

The above becomes part of the hotels weird charm and after a couple of days we stopped noticing the horrors. At the end of the day, the room was clean in terms of dirt and grime and that's what counts if you are out most of the day anyway.

WiFi - no WiFi in rooms BUT you can buy a card at the reception which allows you to tap into the local Wifi. Yes you have to spend and extra £2.50 but it's valid for 30 days.

Location - 5 minutes away from city centre by motorbike. Reception can always call for a taxi/tuk-tuk as well. It's located on a street with supermarkets, hairdressers, massage parlours and restaurants - what more do you want!

Service - nice enough staff. Never said hello to us once in the 20 days we stayed but if you say hello yourself they will always greet you back.

Would recommend for people who are not too fussed about the beach not being at walking-distance and who are able to hire a motorbike. If you want to be more central, near the beach then this isn't really the place for you.

Great staff, friendly and help u with erything u need. The price was cheap so i didn't expected too much, but yes, the hotel is terrible outdated. Epecially the bathrooms which have big moisture damage. It's really sad since this hotel have been beautiful maybe 20 years ago. On the good side there is a great swimmingpool and also a gym. The location is good if u have a motorbike, just a few minutes driving to be downtown.

WiFi only available on ground floor and is spotty. Also, thermostat is preset to 24C or 75.2 degrees minimum temperature. That would not be so bad if not so many mosquito's in room. Too warm for the provided comforter so threw it off only to be exposed to the Mosquitos, counted 10 bites next morning and little sleep as too warm for comfort.
Otherwise, room clean & spacious, bed pleasant, hotel well maintained, breakfast buffet a bit below average for rating, no made to order eggs, only watermelon for fruit, good garden salad selection & coffee.

This place is most suitable for visitors who want to try the various authentic Thai food that dot the area. Unlike the ones near the beach which cater to tourists, these ones tasted better and were regular with the locals. Though a bit away from the beach, we had no problem in walking down which took approx. 20-25 minutes. The beach unfortunately was stinking with numerous dead Jelly fish that had floated up. There weren't any activities for kids either apart from a single person marketing his banana boat. The swimming pool in the hotel was clean and had a shallow kids section, where they could jump around freely. The staff was helpful and unobtrusive. They accepted our early check-in and late check out. The Sunday buffet was a generous spread of veg and non-veg foods. We had taken 2 interconnected rooms which had a wonderful view of the mountains.

The Hua Hin Railway station looks more like a beautiful kids play area than a railway station.

The kids enjoyed a lot in the pool and relished the local cuisine. Overall a comfortable stay at a reasonable price.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms towards the Hill side. If lucky, you can see live Cock Fighting just beside the hotel from your balcony.
