Travelled out to this local beauty spot with some Thai friends on a Tuk-Tuk for TB700 from the beach area. That included him waiting around to take us back again. The site is high up in the hills and the Tuk-Tuk at times struggled with the steep winding roads going up and was just as uncertain coming back down.
Once there though, what a wonderful place!
The views from the viewing points across the City to the ocean are excellent. There is two directions to go from the main car park. Left as you look towards the little shop on site from the car park has that great view but if you go right, the path is not usedmuch at all. At the end of the path is a rock mound which is quite rasy to climb and you are rewarded with even better 360 degree views.
The best part of this attaction apart from it being almost empty of tourists is you can buy a bag of "monkey pellets" from the shop at the car park for TB20 and feed the monkeys as you walk round. They are well behaved, not aggressive at all and will climb up your legs and sit on your shoulder for a few pellets. They are so trusting and friendly. Most monkeys of this type steel your bag, your glasses and dare you to try and get them back with a show of their teeth. These couldn't be more opposite.
