Travelled out to this local beauty spot with some Thai friends on a Tuk-Tuk for TB700 from the beach area. That included him waiting around to take us back again. The site is high up in the hills and the Tuk-Tuk at times struggled with the steep winding roads going up and was just as uncertain coming back down.
Once there though, what a wonderful place!
The views from the viewing points across the City to the ocean are excellent. There is two directions to go from the main car park. Left as you look towards the little shop on site from the car park has that great view but if you go right, the path is not usedmuch at all. At the end of the path is a rock mound which is quite rasy to climb and you are rewarded with even better 360 degree views.
The best part of this attaction apart from it being almost empty of tourists is you can buy a bag of "monkey pellets" from the shop at the car park for TB20 and feed the monkeys as you walk round. They are well behaved, not aggressive at all and will climb up your legs and sit on your shoulder for a few pellets. They are so trusting and friendly. Most monkeys of this type steel your bag, your glasses and dare you to try and get them back with a show of their teeth. These couldn't be more opposite.

Very easy to find and just outside Hua Hin, this hill offers 2 excellent views over the city. One just opposite the statues of King Rama 7-8 overlooks the northern end (Takiab) and the second, which requires a short stroll and a dozen of steps overlooks the south. There is ample parking space, there are some foodstalls. What I missed were some garbage bins at the viewpoints ... .

If you want to have a nice view of Hua Hin got to the Khao Hin Lek Fai lookout, is very close to the city, 15 minutes away. We went at sunset to see the city as the daylight was fading out.

Well worth a visit with various view points over Hua Hin and the surrounding countryside. There’s a little shop that sells drinks and snacks. If you’re feeling energetic then walk up there. Beware the monkeys.

I came here as part of a sightseeing trip of Hua Hin. I was looking forward to an elevated viewpoint, so you can see the city at a glance. Problem however is these viewpoints mostly offer views on the populated area and the view of the ocean is partly obstructed by some high rise buildings. But most disappointing is, the entrance area where the car park is looked quite run down and not well maintained. You'll also find a lot of garbage along the paths to the viewpoints even my Thai guide felt ashamed of it and started collecting rubbish. If you're looking for the most spectacular and far more pretty elevated view on Hua Hin, simply go to the skybar of the Hilton Hotel and order yourself a drink. You do not need to be a guest of the hotel to access the Hilton Skybar. These viewpoints are pretty average really, go to the Skybar and you'll immediately notice the huge difference if you want to see something spectacular.
