Hi, I have just returned from another beautiful holiday in Phuket. Having travelled to Phuket every year for the past 10 years, I have stayed in all sorts of hotels from $150 a night to $20 a night. Each year I try and research different hotels and reject a lot for various reasons. This year I did not pre-book a hotel because I have paid in advance on all occassions have been disappointed for various reasons, and not been able to get my money back, and move out.Intending to stay a month this time I did not want it to happen again so I picked one and fronted up to the desk only to be told they were booked out. No problem, I walked 20yards up the road and found another, which was called Tony Resort. This had flown under my radar and boy was I surprised. Yes they had rooms available and would I like to inspect it and the hotel before booking in. There are 4 seperate but joined 4 storey buildings surrounding a beautiful pool area with plenty of lounge chairs and pool towels for all.All rooms have a front door and a back door which leads onto seperate balconies overlooking the pool area.Bed were a little hard for my taste but good for Thailand. These rooms for someone like me coming off the street were 1000bt a night which is about $30au Breakfast was adequate at $9 So good was the room and staff I spent the whole month there. Bangala road was 7min walk away and Jungceylon shopping centre 4minute walk and Smile Dentist (excellent) across the road. I will be back Geoff
