We re visited Le Berbere after visiting on our last holiday and being totally impressed. We asked for menus and were disappointed to find that they had been dramatically condensed to just a few dishes, of which nothing was in English and the waiter was unable to translate. I asked if they still had the lasagne on the menu (which was beautiful on our previous visit) unfortunately it wasn't. We opted to have a drink and admire the stunning views from the upstairs and leave hungry. I hope it was a winter menu and it changes back in the Summer as I know that this is a lovely little restaurant usually.

Food was really nice and service throughout was as you would expect from an expensive restaurant. However, the waiter had no change so we had to give him only a small tip and at that point the service deteriorated. He had earlier promised to call us a taxi when we were ready to leave however he was now nowhere to be seen. My husband and I decided to get a cab on the street instead. As we left the restaurant we spotted him stood in the door way and he put his head down...what a shame this attitude spoilt our experience. We will not be returning!

Food was fresh & delicious - service courteous, friendly and attentive. £35 a head for 4 was also excellent - 3 courses & nibbles - with wine also included - couldn't recommend it more highly! 5-star evening!

The lounge on the roof (Sky Bar?) was a good discovery. The owners/barmen are drink afficionados with one indulging in cocktails and the other in wine. The cocktails were decent and very creative and the wine list extremely surprising. We enjoyed a great Beaujolais as well as some nice tapas.

Good Music and great view of the old Medina. All in all an enjoyable evening in Hammamet.
