“Its OK if he like to be hissed at and verbally abused”
Review of Medina of Hammamet

Reviewed 14 June 2018

We went to the market in the ruins, we only stayed 10 minutes and brought nothing. It was the scariest thing I have ever been too. The shop keepers tried to grab us to go into their shops when refused they hissed at us and were abusive. They shouted after us - Really sad as we had money to spend and walked away empty handed. There is no need for that type of behaviour and aggression. Very Sad.

I love Tunisia and came here few times, but this visit put me in shock ,I came at the beginning of high season like always do and I was shocked , it has changed so much . It is absolutely empty, only few tourists like us . Also was shocked with prices , sea food platter was 120d that is 40 Euro , that is a lot for that platter and specially for that place . But we ate few times outside of hotel and not sure weather it is inflation or they try to overcharge tourist as business not bumping due to lack of tourists. If you paid all inclusive, don’t eat outside as it comes quite pricy

Stay on the outside to take your photos. There are loads of shops on the inside but with that comes the hasstle of the owners trying to push you into their shop and buy things. One after another, it’s so draining and got to me. It made me ill for two days. They are all over the place. Say no to them and stick to it as they will take your money off you easily. Prices are never on the items that’s why they like you to haggle. But the prices never are the same. Just becareful. Also keep aware of puck pockets too. Good luck !!
