The hotel is okay for one short night. We passed Izmir and needed a place to sleep. It is a little bit far off the center but if you like walking it isn't too bad.
The room we got was a very basic room, which would have been perfectly fine if they would have cleaned the floor before. There were hairs everywhere. Also, the bathroom had a lot of water on the floor (and mold - which is quite common in Turkish hotels apparently...).
Breakfast was alright, standard Turkish breakfast (although they didn't care too much about refilling food).

I stayed here in March with a friend - it was a good value in a good location. Five minute walk to the bazaar and train station, 10 to the water, and very close to the park. The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. The room was clean and good for the price. Breakfast was good each morning.

We stayed four nights here, using it as a base for sidetrips to Ephesus and Cesme. As such, a closer hotel to the Metro Station would have made better sense. As in other reviews, even the cab driver couldnt find it. The street was dark at night, but not at all dangerous. Its at the limit of how far you want to walk for public transportation and so keep that in mind if side trips are your intention. Our room was nice, the bathroom leaked however. The walls inside are very thin and so there is a fair amount of internal sound from other rooms. Breakfast was fair. Concierge was helpful with only fair english. Very economical and if you don't mind walking, a solid choice.

Room Tip: There is an elevator in the hotel.

This small hotel had nicely furnished, if small rooms. The breakfast was pretty good, (although not the best I've had in Turkey). Staff were very helpful, but varied in their abilities to speak English. About the location: 10 minute walk to Basmane train/metro station. If you are coming from the airport you can save a lot of money by taking the train or metro to Basmane then catching a cab (or walking). It's very hard to find if you don't know where it is. You can ask for "Su Hospital" which is across the street. More people seemed to know where that was. Neighborhood is very dark at night, so if I was by myself I probably would be a little nervous walking around. I didn't see any indication that it was dangerous, just dark. It's on a small side street.
