As a seasoned traveler I can tell you that I have stayed in different hotels world wide both economical to luxury level. I give this hotel a 3 star review for the following reasons:
Pros:
-Convenient location close to everything walking distance, location big points.
- First floor common area adorable, common balcony, living room with couches, tv, bar stools to sit on, BYOB( Bring Your Own Booze Booze), communal kitchenette with fridge and freezer, very cute common area. Kept nice and clean.
-Great pool area, again very clean with lounge chairs and tables, nice area to hang out.
- Main lobby, hotel rooms and all common area kept very clean. The cleaning staff also very good cleaning. Excellent job ladies.
- bathroom, nice but small but it was good enough for me, clean, good shower and water pressure.
Cons:
- Internet down most of the time there which meant TV majority of my time. When asked about when it will go up, answer, when it goes back up. I get that however your price included internet and TV which you failed to deliver or accommodate for. Wasn't happy with that customer service or answer. I see that as a systematic problem doubt it was a one time occurrence.
- Guest Room: Lots of people complained here about the dated rooms however I saw that they were upgrading some rooms so hoped for the best, obviously mine was not one of those. Squeaky dresser, crammed against the bed so it was hard to get to. Every time you opened that doors it made an awful squeaky howl. It was annoying. Greece those cabinets would help. They were very small, hard to move around for 3 people room.
- breakfast: good breakfast however the second day tons of flies in the dining room and they allowed flies to land on the buffet style Continental breakfast, quite disgusting. Put a net on the food please if you can't spray the room to rid of the flies. No one likes flies sitting on there breakfast.
However The breakfast quality was good, fresh and plentiful. I covered mine with napkins but had to keep shooting the flies off, annoying. Recommend. Spray the room prior to opening or put a net on top of the food displayed.
Overall: For a 3 star rated hotel I give it a 3 star rating. Probably would return there but may shop around for another price that guarantees internet tv and has better rooms once I return to Colonia again. Not bad though depends what your must needs are. It satisfied my needs for the purpose of my trip as an average hotel with pros and cons.
