Had 2 Night here at the Mercure Hotel on the way to Yokohama to catch a cruise ,
It was some much cheaper than the hotels in Tokyo so we stayed .The area is great place to hang out lots a small bars and resturants very close to hotel and super cheap to eat out . The room was a little musty and showing signs of age otherwise ok .

Just a two night stay here for a friends birthday in Narita.

The hotel is about 3km from the airport itself, but there is a regular shuttle bus to get you to and from.

The area itself is much like any other Japanese town, there are two train stations nearby and typical types of shops. It's definitely worth exploring to the nearby temple, not only is the temple and its gardens a good way to spend a few hours, the walk down to the temple through a more authentic part of town is great too,

Back to the hotel, the room itself is a decent enough size for a Japanese hotel room and everything works as it should, despite everything being quite old and in need of a bit of an update.

The hotel offers breakfast, which was included with our room. There was a decent selection and the quality was good. There is also a self-serve laundry onsite and a gym as well (gym is Y1000 per visit).

What this hotel lacked for me was the usual pleasant Japanese hospitality. While nobody we encountered was unpleasant, they weren't terribly friendly or welcoming either.

I did have one minor annoyance from my time here. I was travelling with my partner (same sex) when I stayed here and given this hotel is so close to an international airport, with people from all corners of the globe coming and going, I was astonished at how many times we were asked to confirm or were questioned that we were sharing a room with one bed. We were even asked this when renting towels in the gym? This isn't something I've encountered anywhere else in Japan.

Anyway, it's likely that your stay in Narita will be short, in which case, this hotel will do you just fine, and it comes at a very reasonable price.

Pretty nice, They put us in there annex which was along walk to and from front desk and lobby and if your above the 3rd floor you have to get off at the 3rd floor and go to another elevator to go to the 4th floor and higher. however if you walk pass the main entrance there is another entrance. I like the Aeon Shopping Mall even though it's a walk to get there. The best is the location to the Keisei Line is close by if your carting your luggages and there a great Chinese Restaurant near by

When all major booking webs are sold out, negotiating mode is strained when booking directly over the counter in the hotel. In other words, weekends in Narita and the only cheers come from revenue managers. The price was from approved to extraordinarily expensive for what is offered.Got a dejavu from time when I spent a lot of time in Tokyo in the 80's. The room design was like a time capsule, bathroom in a strange plastic cubicle design, clean and relatively well kept. Furniture in basic design.Suitable for an overnight stay but does not attract for a longer stay. Bus shuttle to Narita and strategic location for a visit to old Narita city

Stayed hear overnight en route to Nagano since the snow shuttle leaves form the airport. There were a lot of closer motels but this one is just far enough from Narita that you are in an actual town and not just the airport precinct. Free shuttle to and from the hotel makes getting to and from the airport easy. Because of the distance though the shuttle only runs roughly once an hour so make sure to check times. Small Lawson Supermarket across the road was very handy.

Stayed: January 2018
