Our toddler is obsessed with Mickey Mouse so while we were in Japan for holidays we trepidatiously decided on a day at Tokyo Disneyland. We booked this hotel because of the Happy 15 (which allows you to access certain parts of the park to wait 30 minutes prior to opening and then other parts of the park 15 minutes prior to opening). We really didn't think we would do the hotel or park justice as she is so young, but by keeping things simple and having low expectations of what we could achieve, we had the most wonderful time and we all really enjoyed ourselves. I initially thought this hotel room may have been overpriced, even with the Happy 15, but the quality and theming of the hotel - and Chef Mickey - made the price completely worth it.

We shared the generous sized (king?) bed with her - we did actually find this bed too firm, even by Japanese standards. We had the most basic room type and it was quite spacious and lovely. The amenities (little themed soaps, shampoos and disposable Mickey slippers that she was so happy to take with her) were also a lovely touch.

The dinner we booked in advance at Chef Mickey's was so much fun for her - she met Mickey, Minnie, Daisy and Donald. So many hugs and smiles (and pics) and she tried to feed Donald her broccoli which he refused with great drama. Since this dinner, when she sees pictures of those characters she refers to them as her "friends".

One oddity was that more often than not, we really struggled to communicate with check in / front desk staff at this hotel in English - I had no expectation of fluency in English at any other hotels or anywhere else in Japan, but thought front desk staff at a Disney hotel might be different. If you speak limited Japanese as I do, have your Google translate app ready to go when checking in and you will be fine. The staff are very friendly and happy to read your questions on the app when you're struggling to communicate.

Please note that the pool is currently closed!!!

Pool doesn't open until July, and no refunds for cancelation. This should be advertised before booking. I only booked because we planned a day of relaxation, it's late May it should be open. Now we have to pay for use of the pool at Sheraton.

Our family had a pleasant stay at this hotel. Conveniently located next to shopping mall with choice of restaurants. Walking distance to Disneyland although free shuttle service also offered. Staff very accomodating and friendly. Bathroom was a great size. Functional room. If you want to go to Chef Mickey (onsite restaurant) book early. Highly recommend Chef Mickey experience although not cheap. Breakfast buffet near main lobby was disappointing however.

wonderful experience in disney ambassador, so close to ikspiari and super convenient shuttle bus services (which i think is much better than having to go to the monorail stations)
loving the disney store inside the hotel and the restaurants that are full of disney theme.
room are pretty much similar with the Tokyo Disney Hotel .

Room Tip: all rooms are good but if you get to the end of the hall (its pretty far) , maybe request rooms closer to the elevator

Decided to book the donald duck room as this seems to be the only donald duck room for all disney hotel. Service was superb and they will even assign our own check in manager and porter to bring us to our room. Very good service but can take a while to wait for them to bring us to our rooms. The hotel has disney characters all over the hotel starting from the shuttle bus drop off point which is amazing. The shops within hotel are also selling limited disney items which cant be found outside. Restaurants are also selling disney characters food which are interesting. Room is amazing with donald duck color and very spacious. Everything is good except the tv can be more foreign friendly. Bed is firm and comfortable in japanese standard, but can be hard for people who is used to soft beds. Hotel has also prepared some souvenir for guests to bring home which makes the whole experience very memorable.
