This standalone Lavender branch is bigger & more spacious than city square. There's a bakery & small cafe at the ground floor. For meals, there's a restaurant upstairs called L'table (minimum of 1 food item per person).

We always cart home lots of artisan bread (ciabatta, champion, orange/chocolate, french cheese) from Lavender whenever we visit JB. Our other favorites are light cheese stick, light Japanese chocolate or Pandan cake, Matcha sand, etc. Store all breads in fridge & that can last 2 of us for the entire week.

Finally had the opportunity to try L'table upstairs last weekend. Spacious, high ceilings & homely decorations make it a very cozy place to hang out. Lots of items on the menu to choose from, and all affordably priced. Will make it a point to eat here again!

I came early in the morning at Lavender café after some local food at nearby market.
This review section is meant for the restaurant upstairs which opens later at 11am but I'm happy to pen down some review for their morning café.

The café is spacious, clean and comfortable.
Wide range of bakery 🍞 and great coffee ☕
I don't expect them to serve artisan bread but good enough.

Staff service is acceptable but can be more enthusiastic however not a big problem.

Will come back here again.

This outlet is a lot nicer to chill than the one at City Square Mall, which always has a long queue of Singaporeans who just crossed the border. Guests should note that café and bakery items can only be consumed on the first floor, while the second floor is strictly for dine-in restaurant menu items only.

The thing I love about this place is I immediately feel I am not in Johor. There is a Bakery and Cafe downstairs and a Restaurant upstairs. All recommended, but, this review is for the restaurant. It's always comfortable, the menu choices are good and the service polite and better than most in Johor. This place is on my list of top ten places to eat in Johor. Because it's always consistent and in Johor that is often a rare thing. My favourite dish is the tomato soup with prawns and covered with crispy pasty, quite magical. But pretty much anything on the menu will make you happy. It's a great place for a relaxed or romantic meal.

Lavender really boasts a great variety of pastries and bread. This outlet has both a bakery, a cafe and a restaurant. The first floor consists of the former two where you can opt to have certain pastries in the cafe together with a drink (selection of coffee/tea). The latter is L.table and found on the second floor. The food and atmosphere definitely impressed. I had the breakfast cups [RM18.90] and the truffle beef burger [RM25+?] and topped up with caramelised onions and mushrooms.

I loved the breakfast cups which were served together with two slices of bread which tasted amazing. The yolk wasn't running as I would've expected it to be but the taste won me over.

The truffle beef burger was also pretty good! The beef was juicy and the truffle taste and scent was strong enough to be smelt from across the table. Definitely would be back again for this.

The service of the staff was also top notch. You'll be greeted by a doorman who welcomes you as you enter the bakery. The staff were all very friendly and approachable too!
