It was definitely a very pleasant stay. We had a junior suite with sea view. Needless to say, room designs, f&b and all personal services were exceptional.
The property sprawls over a reasonably large area. Unless you enjoy the walks through the rain forest setting, buggy rides for most times are necessary. Based on our experience, buggy service here was always prompt, during our entire 4-day stay. The hotel must have devised a tight system, and buggy drivers were constantly on walkie-talkie.
For us, the highlight was the 'adult only' infinity pool at sunset. You need to be here at least once during the setting of the sun!
Hotel was only 18 min from Els Club, which was convenient, if it is a golf trip. Breakfast starts promptly at 7am. Important for golfers with morning tee times!
However, unlike its sister hotel St Regis, Ritz however does not provide exclusive lounge for its guests at Langkawi Airport. A significant convenience here at Langkawi Airport as there is no operating lounge for business class travellers for any airline.
The top feature of this hotel must be their staff. Certainly amiable and helpful, perhaps more than similar hotels in this category. We've stayed at Ritz Koh Samui and Jakarta. Ritz at Langkawi was a better experience for us.
