This is an amazing place in a bungalow style with a lovely patch of greenery in the middle, so everybodys view is great ... wherever your're sat, whether it's out the front of your room, or in the communal area, where there are hammocks and even a tv lounge area, and of course tables and chairs.

This place is so chill, and it even has a communal kitchen where you can cook yourself! This is a novelty as a backpacker so it was very welcome and such a nice setting to do it as it is all 'indoor/outdoor' as it is well covered but also open to the outdoors. (I'm sure you can see from the pics) Amazing.

We ended up staying 7 nights from an initial 2 night booking, and only left because weather as it was rainy season, but still what a place to spend the odd rainy day!

Its such nice and very calm here.
Super nice people who work here and the rooms are very nice. The bathroom isbclean, there is a kitchen to cook and it is nice to spend the time there. They have a eye for details. The beach is only 5 mimutes walk away and its a very quiet area surrounding by rice fields. The next supermarket isn't far away.

Soluna guesthouse provided our accommodation for six nights during our stay on Langkawi and we were so glad we booked to stay here following the amazing reviews on TripAdvisor.
The location, off the beaten track, surrounded by paddy fields just begins the calmness and serenity of the place. Soluna has a chilled out vibe and is so quiet and peaceful.
The staff are very helpful and also really chilled out, no deposits when booking and on arrival no prepayment needed which adds to the relaxed stay.
There are catering facilities for light meals and we took advantage of having our breakfast there after purchasing some cereals and milk. Good also for a morning cup of tea!
All the facilities are clean and tidy.
Bedrooms are fitted with fans and air con. So you can choose whether you have the air on on or off depending on cost. We had a private bathroom, simple but enough for what we needed. The bed was comfortable and enough wardrobe space to fit all our clothes in.
The walk into the main strip is about 5 minutes and a couple of extra minutes to the beach. This is the main beach in Langkawi. A tip: when you go onto the beach head right as it's a lot quieter as well as palm trees for shade.
The only two things to bear in mind when staying at Soluna are:
-There are resident cats, so if you don't like cats this may not be the place for you. I'm not a big fan, but I coped and they were fine.
-The walk to the strip/beach is through a coconut grove shared with water buffalo and can be a bit boggy to walk through (we visited when there were a couple downpours).

I would thoroughly recommended Soluna Guesthouse if you want a relaxed stay on Langkawi and don't mind what comes with staying off the beaten track. Excellent value for money too! Would go back if visiting Langkawi again.
