Peaceful and secluded yet close to everything!

Review of Min House Camp
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 26 Dec 2016
Min house camp surprised me in so many ways. It is an incredibly beautiful place with many activities and hospitable people to meet. It is very near to the city but you feel so far from everything. I love that there is a small local village nearby that you can ride bikes to and see how the locals live. The projects going on at the camp are ongoing and its getting more interesting every year! It is fun to be surrounded by the several animals that live on the camp too! The people are great and the atmosphere is the finest. Check them out. Theres plenty of room!

I stayed in Min House Camp for whole two weeks. It's quiet location away from city noise was serene. You are close to the nature, in the middle of it actually, next to the river. The longer I stayed the less I wanted to leave. Place to find your inner peace.

This place is idyllic and we love the kampong lifestyle. Lots of nature and greenery Peace, tranquility and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We love the sounds of cock crowing at 6am each morning. Host Aiman and his family are especially helpful and accommodating. No doubt we will come back to this place.
Thank you Aiman and his family.

Aiman and his min house camp have been great. We stayed as a group of 6 for 1 night at the camp. When we arrived we were amazed of the big area and the numerous activities the camp offered. As had only a night we decided to do some kayaking, which was great fun. Aiman was very friendly and welcoming to us. He showed us around at his iuunl0pcamp, and brought us to a bridge to watch fireflies.
We really enjoyed staying the night at the camp. The staff was lovely and the place so peaceful. I am happy to recommend the place to travellers but also families who are looking for a place to enjoy nature and peace.

I stayed only one night, as I was running out of time but I recommend everyone to stay at least 2 nights.
As soon as I arrived I joined a "Beer Tour", tasted different honey and learned some new stuff.
In the afternoon the staff took some other guests and me out for a really nice dinner and we were sharing a lot of traditional food- delicious!
I stayed in a dorm which is basic but absolutely fine. The bed was very comfortable and I had a great sleep!
The next morning they took me to the bus station and made sure I catch the right bus.
Everyone has been very friendly and I enjoyed this family like atmosphere there!

We had the pleasure to stay in the floating house, hosted Aiman and the Min House Camp family. The Camp offers a quiet, comfortable, and intimate escape to nature within a genuine 'Kampung'-style environment.

We enjoyed The Camp's animal residents (most notably monkeys, snakes, rabbits, turtles, turkeys, chickens, and 'stingless' bees), joined a guided nighttime firefly tour by boat, kayaked the river alongside fish and monitor lizards, and took an archery lesson. We also enjoyed a small cafe restaurant a short walk into the local village. All the while, we were treated to excellent traditional food, offered great advice and information, and even given a ride to our train to Taman Negara.

We highly recommend staying at The Camp as either a connection stopover or as a destination, itself.
