We drove through kampung road before arriving at MHC. But after driving out in the evening, the kampung route wasnt scary no more.
We stayed two nights in MIn House Camp. four to a room. Good aircond. Very small toilet and bathroom but adequate hot water shower albeit at low pressure. Parking is not an issue unless there is a big group here for meeting. Yes, they have a small conference room!!
We went canoeing in the evening. We had char kueh teow timur-style for dinner with the local specialty teh limau madu. The next morning we had nasi kerabu kambing/daging berasap for breakfast. The dinner and breakfast outlets were just outside the kampung on the main road..
Kak Yah shared with us on composting and aquaponics.
We collected lokan or clams in the evening when it was raining. It was an experience wading in the knee-deep mud and using bare hands to feel for the clam shells. After dinner we walked to a nearby bridge to look at fireflies. The fireflies here are of the synchronous kind.
The following morning before departure, we had a look at stingless beehouses and sip a small sample of pure honey from the egg-shaped pots.
This is a must thing-to-do if one travel to kota bharu.
Thank you Kak Yah and family.
