This is one of the latest hotels in Cameron Highland. The building was newly constructed. The commercial lots at the 2nd and 1st floors were still mostly vacant.

We booked the 2 room suite for 3 nights. The unit is big. Master room has 1 twin beds while the smaller room has 2 single beds. These could fit 4 adults. There are sofa and leisure bed in the living hall that could accomodate another 2 persons.

We were assigned the 7th floor initially. The air was fresh in the late evening and early morning. We later on found that those lower floors (3rd and 4th floors) units have a small garden with table and chairs outside the balcony. We were thinking may be could have tea drinking at that kind of garden. In particular some limited number of 3rd floor units have direct access to the central playground.

We eventually made a request to change to 3rd floor on the 2nd day. We were really happy that the hotel staff was attentive to accomodate our request. My kids were having great fun at the private garden as well went to playground outside the private garden. We have great tea sessions and enjoyed good lighting atmosphere at night.

The breakfast is standard and value for money for the small amount of additional fees paid. They served fried and scrambled eggs, Chinese porridge with regular dishes come with such porridge, fried noodle, bread, nasi lemak, curry noodle, steam sweet potato, local fruits, coffee, tea, orange juice, etc.

There is basement car park provided free of charge.

Tips: go for high floor if you like the fresh and cooling air in the morning and night.
Go for low floor if you want garden and access to playground.

It appears that hotels on Cameron Highlands suffer from one big problem. Because of the cool climate, air conditioners are almost non-existent and windows are kept ajar.
Therein lies the problem: the noises that are usually muted in other locations sneak in via the window gaps.
The Avillion was only six months old (as of June 2018). It’s located on top of a commercial shopping center (the Cameron Fair) that is sparsely occupied.
Apparently, it was supposed to be an apartment complex that, due to poor sales, has been converted into a hotel.
One good thing about the Avillion over other hotels is that there are electrical sockets aplenty, at least four in each room. And these are these sockets accept many international plugs (but still supply 220V of juice, so be careful not to fry your 110V devices).
The furnishings are simple but comfortable, but the noise can be irritating. The sources range from the children’s playground, hotel cleaners taking too loudly along the corridors and the ever-present banging of the spring-loaded heavy doors of the (smoke free?) lift lobbies.
If you close the windows, you might reduce the noise but you’ll eventually run out of fresh air.
Other than that, the hotel location is near restaurants, banks and ATMs, an optician, pharmacist and a laundromat (ground floor of the hotel block).
On Cameron Highlands, I guess you choose your hotel based on either tranquility or proximity to amenities, but not both.
I suppose the Avillion will be good for younger folks who are out most of the time exploring the Highlands but for fat old dudes like myself, a quieter hotel would be preferable.

Good nice hotel! If you are with family and don’t intend to cook , it is the right choice.

Restaurants and other minimarts are within the walkable distance.

Stayed in a 2BR suite which is spacious. Don’t expect a Mountain View from the room.

The hotel was open in January 2018. As the hotel is still relatively new, there is still some renovation work ongoing. Our family of four enjoyed the two-bedroom premium suite we booked. The floor was a little dusty when we arrived but the housekeepers cleaned it well the next day. Breakfast was decent and the wifi was lightning fast (66.6Mbps d/l, 39.2 Mbps u/l). We didn't experience the customer service issues other reviewers encountered (The reception gave us a quiet room, as requested, and we were aware that the price we paid did not include taxes, which were 20RM per night). There was a self-service laundry, which was a huge plus for us, and a few cafes on the ground floor. The hotel's central location was another big plus. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and will definitely return if we are in the Cameron Highlands.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the garden are quieter.

I've been Cameron highlands many times during past 6 years, really love the weather up there.
This time i stayed in new hotel, last year still under construction.
It's new, clean, spacious, location is strategic very near to tourists centre and bus station.
So it's very easy to get there even you don't drive to cameron highlands.
If you drive, parking lot is underground.
Room is plenty of space even starting room type.
Just a bit confused for entrance, both entrance of hotel and room haha (my room is 1st category, don't remember the name) it's same floor with there office.
Should add more sign to the room.
Staffs quite friendly. Breakfast is average for me.
