Kedai Minuman Woong Kee
Ranked #3 of 19 Dessert in Ipoh

My friends and I love the soya bean curd here, it's so smooth and it melts in your mouth. I like the grass jelly with my bean curd and on weekends, the crhysanthemum syrup is a must-try, just so fragrant and perfect with the bean curd. We made multiple visit to this place during our trip because it is just so addictive. Best of all, it is very reasonbly priced and the people there are super friendly to customers.

Woong Kee is situated behind Bedrock Hotel and was highly recommended by Bedrock’s staff, Vanessa. We were glad to try.

This dessert was soft and smooth. It only costs RM 1.30 per bowl. It is the best and cheapest in Ipoh. It comes in 3 flavors: plain syrup, ginger and hula Melaka. There are toppings such as red bean, chin chow at customer’s request. It comes with a small price. Pure soy bean drinks were also sold here. Although there are so many variations of tau fu fah, I like the original plain Beancurd in plain syrup best. It beats the tau fu fah at Funny Mountain in terms of taste and price. Although there were 2 table-tops with a few stools for customers within the shop, they were full-occupied most of the time. As such, most customers sat and ate along the 5-foot way. Service here was pleasant and friendly. Woong Kee opens from 1pm to 6pm daily except for Wed. There was a notice on the wall informing customers of Woong Kee’s intention to relocate.Customers should check first before visiting this stall to avoid disappointment.

All in all, we ate here twice and will be back for more when we are in Ipoh again.

The best tau huay I've eaten. Very smooth and sweetness is just nice. Can have toppings like red bean and an assortment of choices for sugar syrup like original, ginger, Gula melaka. Also sells black bean soya milk.

The smooth taste and soft bean curd hardly find in other city. This is what i recommended and it is worth to stay in the long queue.
I not sure how is the taste of Funny Mountain but Woong Kee is my always first choice.

Easily beats off over commercialised Funny Mountain.

Friendly family based business. Quaint area to sit in if you can squeeze in a spot. Otherwise the usual stools outside the premise is good enough to quench the thirst and cravings for a real good tau foo far.

Highly recommend the chrysanthemum sugar with grass jelly version. Otherwise get creative with crushed sugar peanuts, grass jelly and also red bean as your add-ons.
They will give you the best recommendation to try their specialty.
