Weil Hotel Ipoh is connected to Ipoh Parade Mall, so it is convenient to get water and snacks (from Jaya Grocer), and there are numerous choices (Recommendation(s) : Hojicha Ice Cream and Chinese Tea Leaf Eggs from Legend of Tea; Kuang Jiang from Penang Road Famous TeoChew Chendul; Many Dishes from Souper Tang) that you may pick from, to have your meals. Tong Sui Kai (糖水街) is also within walking distance of Weil Hotel Ipoh. Mr Rajan from the concierge recommended the mixed fruits dessert, and our 01-day land tour guide / driver - Mr Alex recommended the beef noodles from Tong Sui Kai. The mixed fruits dessert was good, but we did not managed to try the beef noodles, because the beef noodles stall was not opened, when we went on a Sunday night.
The Telegraph Concept room was lovely, cosy and elegant, and as per portrayed in their gallery.
The Brewster Concept, Summer Bliss Concept and Miners Concept rooms look classical, relaxing, tranquil, artsy and charming too as well - in the gallery.
We were juggling between choosing the Summer Bliss Concept room or the Telegraph Concept room, and we picked the Telegraph Concept room. The bed in the Telegraph Concept room had the perfect balance between hardness and softness, so the overall level of comfort was good. The housekeeping was done well too.
We opted for Weil Hotel Ipoh's airport transfer services and were glad that we did. Getting to and fro Sultan Azlan Shah Airport was a breeze and with no hassle. Checking-in and checking-out via the hotel's front desk were smooth and seamless. The hotel staffs were courteous, polite, friendly, helpful, well-presented, efficient and professional. The Concept Lounge had big, cozy and comfy - chairs and sofas, and the warm lighting in the lounge created a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.
Overall, everything about the hotel was good, except for a few pointers : The TV in the room featured too few channels; There is a rooftop bar (The Deck Gastrobar) and there was a party on a particular night, and we could hear non-stop thudding of music from it, all through the night, until mid-night 12am; There was also another night where a neighbour's TV was turned up too loud, and we could hear it throughout the night too. Do hotel rooms usually have thin walls?
Last, but not least, we would like to thank Mr Al-Amin Ngah Bidin, Mr Alvin Lee, Mr Rajan and Mr David Darshan Roxxwooten for their swift responses. Many thanks for the prompt email replies. Thank you.
