4 star but room Condition need refurbish. Nice pool, buffet breakfast they separate into different time. You as guest upon check in need to let them know the time you want for your breakfast. Probably due to Covid 19.

It was a 4 star. Environment still OK. But the room Condition need to. Be upgraded. Lighting not bright. No hair dryer provided unless requested.

Room tip: Parking available

The building is old; maintained a bit less than adequately. You may have to call reception to get some things fixed (lights, bath, etc.). I upgraded my room from city & sea view to pool & sea view - its worth the RM30.
Amenities is great - pool is near to the beach. If you bring your kids, let them play at the beach but no swimming as it is too close to the jetty. You can always swim at the pool.
Breakfast is good. Malaysian breakfast mostly and those are cooked to almost perfection.
Staff and service is fantastic.

Stayed for 1 night (fortunately). The building/room is old and old-fashioned. I don't mind if it is old, but this place is not clean, My room is dusty, no carpet in room, floor is dusty (but they provide room slippers), toilet seat is dirtyyy (please change), toilet door is broken.

Breakfast buffet is just OK, limited choice.

Overall, Quite pricey for what you get.

Pro: spacious room with balcony chairs & table, staffs are all friendly and helpful. Location is good, near to the waterfront.

We stayed in this hotel from 26 to 28 January 2019. I've stayed in this property some 20 years back and again recently. We had a church conference there. The property in such a great location is very run down. There is absolutely no maintenance work and housekeeping is very poor because of lack of supervision which is such a pity. We dined inhouse and the food leaves much to be desired. But of course, its a conference and the organisers may not have paid premium rate. So its acceptable. But I want to especially comment the service of the staff from reception, to housekeeping of the public areas and at the restaurants. They were very helpful and always had a smile on their faces. They were genuinely happy to serve us at all times and very friendly. They were an asset to the hotel. My sympathy is that they had to work under such dire condition which is not their fault. Its the owners who have allowed the property to deteriorate to such a shameful state. We were using the Intan Ballroom for our activities. I must comment the airconditioning worked very well although there were 350+ of us in the ballroom

Room tip: All rooms I think are in a poor condition. Housekeeping is lacking

I've book standard room with twin bedded. There are certain things need to be upgrade, like the TV, it should be bigger and a flat screen type, no more boxy like the 80's. The closet is was like stuck in the mid 80's and the hanger is missing somewhere. The tiles in the toilet was also dated with no back splash. However, the room is very clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful and easy check in and check out. The pool is a decent size. Menu for breakfast is like any other typical Malaysian style buffet. The location is really great and it is just about few minutes walk to the small town of lumut. As for the value for money, yes it is, its just about 35USD per night and you have everything. Spacious and clean room, friendly and helpful staff, but it just need to be upgrade a little bit.

Room tip: Take the even number room as it will face the beach clearer (eg: 112, 114, 116, 118 etc)
