Had the privilege of a night stay at the hotel in the objective of attending prayers at the nearby Hindu Temple. This is the closest and most convenient spot for one planning on attending prayers especially the early morning one. The hotel has a good in-front parking space, close to shops and easy to locate location. The only set back, it does not provide coffee or tea bags in the room and the rooms may need some upgrading and refurbishment as well to be competitive.

This is the second time I stayed at this hotel. This hotel location is walking distance to the "Waterfall Gardens" known as the Botanical Gardens which is very popular with Penang residents for their daily walks. The hotel rooms have been renovated recently. my only concern is that the new renovation work has excluded cupboards in most rooms and therefore one has to live from your suitcase instead of having a cupboard to put your clothing. I have informed the management that for long stay customers this is not suitable. I hope they take my comment seriously.
We have 5 people in total so we paid taxes and fees for 5 people online so am extra bed is available . However, when we reached, we were required to pay for an extra bed. The lady receptionist was not so polite in discussing about the matter so it broke our mood. When we went for a trip to Penang Hill, she called the staff to take the extra bed from our room.
However, when we got back to the hotel, the manager was very polite and listened to our booking procedures and approved that our payment included the extra bed. Overall, the hotel was okay but the temperature of the water is not stable and hard to control.
This is my first time staying at this hotel. I booked 1 family room for 5 pax. The room has 2 double beds which can actually accommodate 4 pax and my family add up 1 more mattress to accommodate 5 of us.
The room we got for me is quite small for a family of 5 (all of us are adult). We managed to get room with window so that we can always monitor our car parked there.
They provide free parking just beside the hotel.
The wardobe and some of the furnitures in the room looks old. We pay RM180+ for one night stay. I think they should already replace the furniture. The beds are nice.
Our bathroom is equipped with bath tub. The toilet bowl is actually quite high for a petite person like me.
A flat screen tv is provided with some astro channel. Since we don’t really spend time in the room, the tv and tv channel is not really our concern.
They have only few power socket in the room. 1 for tv, 1 for the mini refrigerator and 1 at the make up table. We couldn’t find any near to the beds. We have to take turn to use the power socket. I think they should have more in the room.
They do provide free hot drinks at the lobby starting from 7.00am (if i am not mistaken) until 3.00pm everyday. But I haven’t got a chance to try it.
Guest can also buy some snack food at the lobby counter if you feel hungry in the middle of the night.
The elevator work well. But our room is quite far to the end from the lift.
The staff there are friendly. The housekeeping staff mostly very helpful. Some of them also remember us. Thanks for that, we really appreciate it.
Overall is just nice and ok for me. The lobby interior is nice. I like it.
I booked a double bed room through Agoda, The room was not the same as the the picture shown on the website. However it had everything I needed for an overnight stay. The room was clean and the shower had strong water pressure. The staff were helpful, especially the Chinese cleaning lady and the security guard.The hotel is within walking distance to the Youth Park and the food court just two blocks away..
A group of 6 stayed here for 1 night. Didn't get a very warm welcome, staff seemed unfriendly and were always rushed.
The actual rooms looked like they hadn't been updated in 30 odd years. The pictures were very deceiving. There was a very unpleasant odour coming from all 3 of the rooms we booked.
The wifi was practically non existent, it would connect but would not let me use the internet.
We were very careful to lock all our bags as we saw housekeeping staff entering our room as soon as we would leave, yet they would not have cleaned anything.
Overall not a very pleasant stay.
