pp island hotel was my colleague - informatics. i completed my adv diploma in this institute.
i stayed once but will never back to this hotel anymore.

i chose it because it has more parking compared to tune hotel and it is free. a lot of nice foods surrounded. however, i rented here 2 nights, first night i saw a medium size cockroaches on my bed table and toilet. and second day i requested to change a new room, but when i checked in , i found a few small cockroaches on table and inside cup. so i immediately request for refund .

but i have to say that the staffs are polite and they really did a full refund to me.

First, you are paying for a budget hotel and don't expect a spacious room with lots of facilities. This is more of a place you drop your bags and go out exploring the city. I had been staying in this hotel since its opened. Its is just stone throw away to get awesome foods along Jalan McAlistair or New Lane. You may find parking an issue for those who check in late but there are always parking space further down the road.

Stay with my boss during business trip. Found the hotel room very nice and clean. The down side about the room is the lighting not bright enough to do paper work. As my boss commented the current lighting is to dim to do work. Need improvement.

I had booked for 2 nights in ppisland. In term of service, it is satisfied but not for the clean level. Saw lot of cockroaches in the room, small n medium size. The staff allowed us to cancel our room on second day and fully refund.

A group of 4 greedy friends on a mission, " Food Trailing Penang". Besides the minor inconveniences of not having any shower curtains (wet floors), having to request for a hair dryer & of the air conditioner blowing directly at you, all else was great & more. Sheets were clean, mattress firm & with our Food Trails beginning right at our doorsteps as photos indicate.
Just 2 doors away is Mama's Nyonya Cusine, a few doors away: Jan's Homemade cakes for Pandan Kaya Delight of fresh pandan, coconut cream & pandan sponge, at the end of the street Anba's Coconut Trading: fresh Pandan Coconut Juice, Coconut Jelly then behind our alley of the famous Lorong Selamat, charcoal fried, Char Kueh Teoh.
For a little R&R, cross the road from Anba Coconut's to Yang Shen Tang Therapeutic Reflexology, $45 for an hour of pure bliss.
PP Island Hotel, until we meet again for 'Food Trailing Penang Part 2".
