The guys at reception were lovely and couldn't help enough. Even the guy who was up at 5am when we were getting our bus was lovely and chatty. We stayed in a double room with fan but a couple hours later moved to an air con room for an extra 10 ringits cos it was too hot for me! Room had a window and sink which was nice. Very clean. The prices for buses are the cheapest I've seen, same price as online. Overall, we had a great stay here and would definitely recommend.

Another visit to Penang and another visit to 75.
Been coming here for years now and the past 2 years normally every two months.
Fantastic place... clean and very friendly staff.
We're currently in a double room with a.c.... shared bathroom. Absolutely no problems and well be staying until we decide on our next move.
You won't find this place on any website booking sites, they dont need to advertise and look for business; a well known old school type backpackers place that welcomes all types of people.... long termed a or vocational travelers.....
When I'm solo I always use their dorm which is great fun.
A pleasure as always to be here and always pleased to.see the guys who work here as well as old traveller friends.

I would always recommend staying in this hostel. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean, the bathroom was newly renovated, silent in the night. Possibility to buy drinks and also a good breakfast.
Great value for price!

75 Travelors Lodge is a good place to stay while exploring Georgetown or the rest of the Penang island. A dorm will cost you 18RM, with very clean common bathrooms. We stayed in a private room with fan (and without private bathroom) for 40RM per night. The room was clean, beds are comfortable and you have your own sink available in the room. Just the basics you need.

This is definitely a budget hotel, with basic amenities and little breeze in the rooms. But it is very clean and well cared for.
The real reason to stay here is the staff. They were so helpful and gave us some great advice about our onward travels. The staff warned us to buy snacks before going to places where the food was more expensive and patiently drew us maps all over town. Upon realising we were going to a town where his friend lived next the owner insisted that we go and see his friend for advice on what to see when we arrived.

Room Tip: If you can afford it, splurge on aircon.
