This was the most beautiful hotel I have stayed in. In the centre of George Town, walking distance to most tourist attractions or small taxi cost. Not far down the road, we used the Laundromat which was great.
The staff at this hotel were excellent, so helpful and friendly.
Would recommend to any traveller.

We booked this hotel through trip advisor (first time doing so) and it was so close to perfection!- mention combining was good---------!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The prime location was one of the reasons we booked this hotel and it definitely was worth it. This hotel is right in the centre of George Town, just walking distance from MOST major attractions. I recall only once having to pay for transport of any kind (a taxi to Kek Lok Si temple); saved us money and time. So nice not having to worry about how to get places.

When we arrived there was a slight issue where they couldn't see our reservation which delayed the process a bit but it was sorted eventually. The staff at the reception desk (2 girls i remember) were consistently lovely, always gave us information about attractions and directions. They called a taxi for us to Kek Lok Si temple and the company gave them a specific price. When the taxi charged us more and we told reception, they refunded us the difference!

The building itself is gorgeous; fairly small but still spacious, beautiful interiors throughout, especially in the bedrooms and restaurant. Lovely flooring and interesting open air design in most of the building. Our room overlooked the pool, beautiful. Nice high ceilings too.

Pool is simple but nice, but the staff from the restaurant would sit by it which made swimming in it quite uncomfortable as it felt like I was being watched.

This brings me to my next issue, the waiters in the restaurant (where you get the included breakfast) seemed very rude. There was one particular south Asian man who glared at me very passive aggressively when we came in for a light bite one lunchtime. No greeting, nothing. Just a passive aggressive glare. He then rudely gestured towards a table for us to sit at. These passive aggressive glared continued until I made it quite obvious that I didn't appreciate it, and then his attitude changed a bit. From then on at breakfast, him and the other staff weren't particularly polite, nor were they rude.

Still the best place to stay in Georgetown. Lovely welcome from the best hotel team in the business! The pool area is a cool retreat from the heat of the day and the ice cold Tiger beer is just great. Our thanks specially to Hanif and Ryan, well done boys, you nailed it again.

Room Tip: The rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter off the Main Street.

All members of staff were friendly and ever-ready to help, advise and answer questions, offer suggestions as to where and what to eat, or just chat a bit in passing... They're a credit to the hotel.

Breakfast spread was more than adequate and very tasty as well.

Room was comfortable and clean.

Location was ideal - on bus routes but not noisy. Also walkable to most places of interest such as the Peranakan Mansion and street art sites.

Quite a few good eating places in vicinity - from cafes and local coffeeshops to street stalls.

You can't go wrong staying here.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the street side, although hotel is set back from the road and does not get the blast of traffic.
