Amazing new residence hotel in the heart of Georgetown along the famed Gurney Drive. The location is fantastic, conveniently located nearby to good food, shopping and must see in Penang.
Lobby is impressive . almost forgotten how the old Gurney Hotel looks like but this new look is lovely.
The rooms are of good size, come fully equipped for a staycation or a long-stay. Beds are super comfortable for a good night rest. Loved the warm tones designs. The APPELLES bath amenities are of quality and supposingly eco-friendly.
Hotel amenities are good, two swimming pool (one infinity pool one kids pool), a fitness center and a kids corner.
Breakfast is satisfactory, good spread and food taste good.
Only thing hate the 4 floors of round and round driving up the parking lot but nothing can be done with the building structure.

When I check in into the Ascott Gurney Hotel, if I ask any question to the receptionist of the hotel , they will answer me patiently and friendly. If the room of hotel is having some of problem like maybe WiFi problem, I only need to call to the reception counter, then they will listen my problem slowly and call thier staff to solve the problem as soon as possible.
Moreover, the location of Ascott Gurney Hotel is great which is at the town area (Gurney drive), easy to let me and my family to find the local food.
For the room of the hotel , it is new and clear. I can look the Sea View from my room, really beautiful.
Thank you so much for the Ascott team, will come back to stay inside the Ascott Gurney Penang again.

New hotel in town area. the hotel staff is so friendly especially front office. Keep it up! We stay there for 2 nights stay with my families, the room is spacious, room very clean and facing sea view, Location is at Gurney Drive area, it is so convenience. Easy to find local food in this area.
We will come back again.

Stay here with family during our holiday here. From arrival to departure, all staff here give us very warm welcome. The Front Office team even surprise my mum with lovely cake from the hotel and sing birthday song for her. It is by far our best hotel experience. Good location and food serve here too. Stayed for 2 nights to celebrated hubby's birthday. They have a very beautiful apartment with very nice staffs. Tried their breakfast at Timur Cafe, love it!!!
