“Quaint Little Place in Historic Georgetown”

Stayed a couple of days here and the suite we were assigned to was not only very roomy with a nice reading area but it was also full of old-world charm. From the exquisite chinoiserie to the netted 4-poster bed, this place almost transports you back in time. But don't be fooled. It has modern amenities like flat screen TV's, split AC's and even a rain shower in the bathroom!

There is an art gallery next to our accommodation as well as a coffee museum out back. It housed an old roaster used back in the day.

The location is great, with the Camera Museum and a few restaurants just a short walk from the hotel. If you fancy a couple of pints, there's Tipsy Tiger across the street to accommodate you. It can get noisy in the evening though so just close your windows if your suite happens to face this party hostel.

Ruby from the cafe/restaurant who greeted us when we arrived was especially helpful. She gave us great advice on places to go, places to eat, places to shop! Actually, all of the staff were very friendly and always wore a smile. Wouldn't think twice about staying here again.

Stayed for 4 nights in Family Suite 47B on the first floor. The hotel is set in a restored 2-storey shophouses dated back almost a century ago. The location is very covenient within walking distance for sightseeing, street foods, cafe, convenient stores, etc. Our suite is on the second floor with 2 bedrooms (1 main bedroom with 4-poster double bed and 1 small single bedroom). Our suite is very spacious and comfortable with all facilities and amenities you need, The staff is friendly and helpful especially Ruby who made us feel welcomed during our stay. They served breakfast which was included in the hotel cafe. Not much on the variety but delicious which was a good start to the day.

The only set back was our last night at the hotel. The family with a small crying child checked in late and banged the door noisily. We had to bear with the weeping child and the angry parents who banged the wall and the door without any thought of other guests. Apart from that, we would not hesitate to recommend this hidden gem to others.

Thanks again for staying with us and for your detailed review. We are glad that you liked our little place Coffee Atelier. Our apologies for the noise disturbance by the ground floor guests - this should not happen. We talked to them and they apologised - but this doesn't help, I know. Best wishes and hope to be able to welcoming you again

Perfect walking distance to everything needed and lovely staff. Very helpful and polite. Beautiful settings and lots of thought into room layout. Lovely hot water and a great relaxing space for the evening out back - obsessed with the courtyard. We had a great stay and would be back without doubt if going back to Georgetown. Lovely antithesis to the traditional boring hotel.

Cant thank Stefan ,Ruby and the team enough,we brought another couple from Australia with us and we were all looked after very well. Great location to explore many fascinating places around georgetown.

Room Tip: down stairs rooms are the quietest with bedroom at the rear.

We wanted to choose a hotel in an old restored house ( Heritage House) , there are many, this seemed to us to have a good value for money.
When we arrived it was a surprise because the bathroom is in the backyard, outdoors.
But as soon as we got used to it we found it very nice.Of course there are rooms with different layout. Ours had access from the street to a very well furnished lobby, traditional and modern pieces and our room was rustic but charming. An initial living room, a bedroom not too large and the bathroom in the backyard - a space for the shower, one for the toilet, both closed and the lavatory on the free. All modern and with good air - rusticitie is purposeful and results . There was still a table and chairs in the yard, a refrigerator with fresh water a tea and coffee maker and products to do it.
We ate breakfast, which is included, in the hotel cafe, all freshly made, eggs, a delicious fresh fruit salad.
Well located in the historic area, we visited the whole city on foot.
A delightful hotel.
