The hotel is close by pharmacy and hospital and the mall.

The room is worth the price, the bfast was fine too.
The only issue is the elevator, one of them is not working during busy period.

The service was great, most of the team are very helpful.

We stay from 18-21 Sept 2022 in room number 1208. We booked for non smoking room, this hotel give us non smoking room in smoking floor. Why I said this, because the hotel give the card information on the table “THIS IS A SMOKE -FREE ROOM” . In fact, the smell of smoke leaked to our room. When I complained about the smoke, the in charge person said “Why didn’t you request non smoking room?” Then I showed her my booking which clearly stated non smoking room. And also the fact that there is information about a smoke free room card on my table room. Since it is smoking floor, everytime we out from our room, we smell very strong cigarette smoke.
The housekeeping who in charge our room seems never clean the toilet, because the smell is so bad. Sink is clogged so do the bathtub. Soap dispenser on the bathtub wall is empty. When I asked to refill it, the operator said yes but noone came to refill. I asked 3 times about refill the empty soap dispenser, but noone responded to my request. It’s empty from day 1😞
The hotel only provided 2 pcs shower towel. If you need hand towel you can request separately. But there is no face towel.
Hair dryer which they provided is broken but when I told them, they give the other hairdryer that can function well😊. They also provided amenities in small bottle (shampo, shower gel, lotion, shower cap, vanity, disposal bag), tissue roll & facial tissue. 2 bottles of drinking water, 2 sachets of tea, coffee, sugar, & creamer. The small refrigerator also can operate well. The room doesn’t free from mosquitoes & ants. So beware of your snacks. Sadly, this hotel doesn’t prepare for mosquitoes spary / mosquitoes repellent neither the staff spray it when they cleaned the room.
The location of this hotel is near to Adventis hospital and Island hospital, easy to find famous and cheap pharmacy, easy to find hawker, near to pasar Tikus which you can buy snacks in the morning. That’s why despite of the inconvenience, many people still willing to stay here because it’s easy & near to go to hospital & easy to find hawker.

Regards non smoking room, all request on top priority however it is subject to availability For your information, we have experienced a very high occupancy with back to back situation due to long weekend and this was the reason why we are unable to fulfill your request.
Taken note too the staff attitude, necessary action and training will be conduct immediately to up keep our standard at all time.

We were a bit surprised that this hotel is quite old and the furniture and interior are a bit old fashioned. The hotel is functional in basic. Spoilt shower head, low resolution of tv channel broadcast, long queue reliance on 3 guest lifts, dusty carpet, shaky bed frame.

The safety in carpark to lift lobby is a bit hazardous for people, more challenging for kids and wheelchair users when there is limited space for pedestrians to walk around. For people taller than 1.9m, watch up your head when walking in that not so bright environment. The main staircase to hotel is a bit steep, need to be careful for seniors.

We learned about how to skip the 20mins lift waiting queue by using the staff lift. The manager is quite friendly, however overall the staff are a bit unmotivated to serve the guest, probably more on a bit gestures when we feel a bit lack positivism around. We all agreed luckily we only booked a night stay.

Room tip: If you wait 20mins for the lift to come, there are two hidden staff lifts can be your alternative. Or you can train your legs to run the staircase.

We are truly sorry to hear you endured some inconveniences while staying with us mainly lift problem. This is certainly not the level of service in which we pride ourselves.
Normally during peak hours, we have assigned staff to manage the lift and supervised by manager on duty. However, we
will monitor closely to void recurrence.

We have also shared your concern regards to the clearance of room to the department head concern and ensure immediate action will be taken.

You have also mentioned about the car park lift space, unfortunately we are unable to change/upgrade due to space constraint.

Noted on your comments on the staff attitude, we will review the training how to motivate for our service team to ensure we provide exceptional services are up to Berjaya Penang Hotel standards.

Old Hotel just beside Midlands. Basement Parking lot a bit dark and scary. Rather big crowd though. A lot of companies holding function here. Rooms not so big but for me is sufficient. There's fridge, mini bar, safe, adjacent to shops and restaurant. Lift is rather slow.

Noted on your comments that the hotel is older, it is well maintained by our staff as we have preventive maintenance works to meet our guests comfort and it is ongoing.
We assure you that necessary measures are being taken to rectify this to ensure that service standards are improved in future. We have done some basic refurbishment, whereby we have replaced and done such as new carpets, new mattress, new pillows, new lights, repaint furniture and change upholstery, fresh coat of paint in the room and re-glazed the bathtub.

We have 6 categories of rooms which is Executive suite, Junior suite, Family room, Connecting deluxe , superior and standard room. The smallest is standard room 19 sq meter.

Noted on the comments regards to lift and for your information all the 3 lifts just completed upgrading and it is on the process of trial run.

We also taken note also on the basement Parking is dark, it is belong to Complex and we have shared your concern to the person in charge.

I didn't expect this hotel to be under Berjaya brand and overated to be 4 star hotel. All below expectation and not value of money. Stayed on 15th July booking through Agoda for RM200++, go to book another hotel lah.

1. Parking space at basement very sempit. When you came back late night, there's full with people that going to bar.

2. Lift very slow and old. Only 1 out of 3 function. What do you expect when it's comes to weekend ? We wait for 30 minutes to going down for check out with 2 kids.

3. Came back from pool using staff lift and staff stare at us like whattt. Staff lift was okay but what happen to guest lift ?

4. Breakfast was good.

5. Bathroom was good. Got bathtub there but no basic amenities like toothbrush and toothpaste, room slippers and pengering rambut, 4 star ?

6. Room carpet and bed sheet not well clean got dust and stain

Please, please hotel make an improvement
