Upgrade from deluxe sea view to premier sea view room is 20myr per night. Deluxe is 32m2 with chair. Premier is 36m2 with sofa seat. Mini bar, which includes 2 mineral water, 2 soft drinks, and 2 apples are complimentary every day.
Broken glass spotted on the floor. Family member toes got pierced by the glass. Spoken to the female manager, she simply took a picture of it, and close case. No service recovery.
Room has this dusty smell. Even for us, with no sensitive nose, we can still breathe in the dust. Seems like the room has been vacant for quite some time.
Bad sound proof. Each time families and kids walked passed the corridor of your floor, you can hear them talking and slamming the door. You can even hear the water pipe pressure, when they are showering in the room.
Breakfast was not 5 stars standard. Breakfast cost 35myr per person. Choices were not as great. Probably good for a 3 stars hotel. Air con was weak. Even at 15 degree, the wind is weak, and the room feels like 30 degrees.
Paid more than 50% extra for the 3rd adult. Extra bed were not comfortable at all. Bed was low and not thick. Looks like a super single bed for a kid. No amenities, drinking water, apples, shower gel, etc, provided for the 3rd person. We paid more than 50% of the room for one the 3rd person, and there was nothing given.
Toilet flush seems weak. Toilet gets flooded with bubbles, each time after our shower. Can be very wet and dangerous, especially for elderly.
Television channels were pathetic. Mostly local channels. Size of the television is about 29 inch. Nowadays, 5* hotels could have upgraded their television to 40 to 50 inch at least. Only 2 available adapter sockets to be used.
I could not believe that is a 5 stars hotel. The service standard was a let down with a 2 stars standard. Our upcoming penang trip, would definitely not go for this hotel again.
