We have stayed in this hotel a number of years ago. Had a great experience so went back for another visit.
We were not disappointed. The lovely rooms are well appointed. We had a king double and a queen bed in the room. Bathroom is a good size plus complementary drinks etc.
The breakfast spread is exceptionally. All sorts of Indian , Malaysian and western treats await. Loads of coffee, tea and drinks also available.
Staff are pleasant and provide a good service.
Would definitely go back.

Great little hotel with amazing staff. The hotel was clean and room service was probably one of the best we have experienced. The dining in the hotel restaurant was amazing, great choice clean and succulent dishes.

Very nice clean hotel in fantastic position new street food market outside door. Let down was breakfast - ok for Chinese market, also however not everyone Muslim - no bacon , poor choice of hot food even pasta sauce straight from can very overpowering. Other than that I would stay here again but not pay for breakfast. The pool is very very small not like the picture.

very impressive with the hotel amenities
And great facilities nice view from rooms.comfortable bed and nice fragrances . Handy phone is a. Plus with great location. Will be returned as the location is great

Great location if you are into Penang street food. Abundance of street food as soon as you walk out of the hotel. Hotel facilities were generally well-maintained. Spacious lobby and rooms condition were clean and well-maintained. Breakfast spread was good.

We have stayed here a couple of times before and thought that we'd stay here again as we had enjoyable and pleasant experience before. This time however, we were probably unlucky... or perhaps it just shows inconsistency in terms of the hotel's service delivery.

We booked through Hotels.com for a twin bed and despite a couple of emails directly to hotel to confirm our reservation and requesting for a higher floor, we received no reply at all from the hotel.

Check-in staff attitude was warm, pleasant and professional. However, when mentioned about our request on higher floor, we were told that there's no more twin room available for higher floor and instead, they would 'upgrade' us to a family room on 3rd floor. As we arrived at night was were quite exhausted, we said OK to the offer.

Unfortunately, the so-called family room was basically the same size 'deluxe room' that we booked but consisted of a large king bed and a single bed, which was basically no benefit to us as it was only 2 of us - and the large beds actually made the room felt cramped. It was not really an 'upgrade' for us as our initial request (done 3 times - 1 via booking agent, twice via email) for higher floor for regular twin room would be much better for us. The 'upgraded' room was on level 3 facing hotel's carpark...

Day 2 - We left hotel early in the morning around 7:30am for medical appointment at local hospital and left the 'make-up room' light on so the housekeeping team can clean the room while we were out. When we got back at 1:30pm, the room has not been serviced yet. Not a big issue, we thought we would just wait for a bit. At last around 2pm, we saw the house-keeeping team serviced the room next door and we requested them to do ours at their soonest convenience. We told them not to worry about changing the bed-sheets as they were still clean. Instead of spending the effort to clean properly, they spent less than 5 minutes in the room, changed out towels only - rubbish bin not cleared, no water replaced at all.

Day 3 - we left the hotel around 9:30am, again left the 'make-up room' light on and this time we let the reception know that we required the room to be serviced while we were out. We came back around 3pm and the room was not done. We rang reception again and was told that they would get the house-keeping to attend to it asap. I mentioned to them that my mum just came back from hospital and needed a nap so we would appreciate if the room was serviced soon so no disturbance to her. Waited for 40 minutes and no one showed up. Rang reception again and was told they would send someone. Another 25 minutes of waiting and finally saw a housekeeping 'supervisor' passing in front of our room as advised us that it would be 5 minutes. 30 minutes later (by then we had waited for 85 minutes) and still no one showed up. I rang reception and expressed my frustration and even after that , it took another 10 minutes for a housekeeping staff to knock on the door. In total we waited for 105 minutes.

Mind you, the housekeeping staff that was sent to attend our room (after 105 minutes since requested) did a great job by himself. It was either the hotel was short of staff or there were multiple communication break-downs within the hotel or poor management of house-keeping team on that day. Whatever it was, making guests waited for 105 minutes without correct indicative nor acceptable response time was a huge let-down and ruined our experience. It was probably much more appropriate and more acceptable if we were told that the room would be attended to after 2 hours rather than 'soon' - as my mum would have had her proper rest rather than just sitting waiting for someone to service the room.

Check-out was OK. The concierge and bell boy were very professional and helpful.
