This is our first time staying at the hotel, and it met all our expectations. It will be our preferred location when we require accommodations in the city in the future.
Although there was one slight problem with the drain in the sink, it was corrected within minutes of mentioning it to the receptionist; kudos to the maintenance staff.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking top-notch service in a first-rate establishment.

Don't understand the good reviews here and on Google. The carpets are so old, dirty and sticky! Beds are hard and uncomfortable. The worst is the smelly blankets. I been to Sunway at Big Box at Johor and it was great!
On comparison, this Sunway Hotel at Penang is so terrible. Only naive tourists like me, who assumed impulsively that all Sunway Hotels should have a type of standard will be tricked into staying here. Don't come here please.
Go book other hotels. The beds are so smelly with a stinky feet smell.
I toured around Penang, only wanting to return to hotel room late, to find out housekeeping removed the toilet's paper rolls. And they left it empty......!!!!
Total no saving grace at all.
Can't wait to check out!

Very comfy sized room. Excellent for finding local foods. so close. Good location. good for sleep ins. Not in the least noisy. I shall be back again. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very safe area.
