The problem with Georgetown is that you're spoilt for choice when it comes to where to stay - heritage buildings converted into the most phenomenal hotels abound. For this trip alone I had a shortlist of 8-10 places to stay, including one we'd stayed at and been quite happy with previously. So even when you enjoy staying somewhere, you always think maybe I'll try somewhere else next time.

But not if you stay at the Seven Terraces.

There are hotels that make you think your trip was average, you wouldn't go back. Hotels where you feel there are pluses and minuses, but on the overall balance of things you'd go back. And others that just feel like it couldn't get more perfect. I can count those places on one hand (Enigma apartments in Santorini being one) - I can happily say that Seven Terraces is now part of that list.

From check in, to restaurant recommendations, to the amazing duplex suites, the decor, the finishing touches, the quaint gift shop, the tea provided by the swimming pool, the breakfast offerings - nothing was lacking. Often you ask staff for places they'd recommend going to for food and they give you some touristy location that is so not a taste of local food. Not here. Here they actually care about customer service and they know the area and they are proud to show you the best that Georgetown has to offer. I love the staff!! Even the room service and maintenance guys were quick to offer smiles and hellos, which really elevates your stay to another level.

The only minor quibble I have is with the lovely his and hers silk robes. Ours smelt like they'd been used previously and hadn't been cleaned in a while.

Otherwise, the hotel is nicely located for a lot of lovely little shops and tea places. All in all, wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Go!!! You won't regret it.

Room Tip: All rooms are great!

We absolutely loved our 4 days stay. The hotel has been loving restored.
The staff at Seven Terraces are always very helpful with any queries and help with places to visit.
On arrival we received a great print out with suggestions of heritage sites to visit and local food places.
Loved the pool great to unwind and cool down after a busy day sight seeing.
We had an amazing nyonya traditional 4 course meal at the Seven Terraces’s very own Restaurant “ Kebeya”
We want to say a special thank you to Wendy, Denish and June who made our stay very special.
Thank you Kathy, Rod and Lloyd

This is a very beautiful heritage hotel at Georgetown. The room was big and like the separation of bedroom and living area. Quiet most of the time, although it is near all the bars and eatery places. Very convenient location. Will return again.

I can't rave about this hotel enough! It's so beautiful. The rooms are large and the bed is comfortable. The attention to detail, and collection of art and antiques in the rooms is refreshing and inspiring. The food in the restaurant is top class. Wendy is a fabulous and cheeky manager. I would highly recomend!
