Stayed here with my family on Chinese New Year. Everywhere else was either fully booked or very highly priced for the peak season. On top of that, it wasn't easy to find a reasonable room that could fit 5 people. So, we settled for this place.
First of all, this shouldn't be called a "hotel". More like a motel or a rental. The building looks unimpressive from the outside. The visitors' parking looks ghastly, especially at night. The receptionist wasn't particularly friendly. When they led us to the room, we were sure that we will only stay for a night and cancel the rest of our reservation. The hallway looked badly maintained. We had to walk past an abandoned kitchen that looked nasty. I could see that parts of the building was previously rented out as student accommodation.
The elevator was horrible. Water was leaking all over it when we left. There was clearly no fire safety in the establishment. Lots to improve on!
But surprisingly, we ended up staying for 4 nights. Why? Because the room was huge. For the price we paid, the size definitely made up for all the shortcomings. Also, because we were out most of the day and only came back to catch up on sleep. It was close to impossible to find another place during Chinese New Year, so we decided that it would make most sense to stay.
