It's not a hotel. It's a slum. I feel like I've cheated as the outlook of the registry is quite okay. But when I moved into the room, I was scared. The way to the room is ghastly and I feel like walking into the jail. Talk about the room. Dusty! I can't stay longer as I have a sensitive nose. Can you imagine that you can wipe a finger-thick of dust on the bedside? I left the hotel on the next day.

We got a big room for 5 and stay their 1 night. The room is clean and they let us check out at 1pm (later than normal). However wifi can not reach the room (just in the same floor), location is not really good as well as it's outside George Town. Luckily when we came out of the hotel we met a really good local taxi driver who took us the whole day around Penang and became like a tourguide for us. He was soo humourous and kind, took us to wherever us want and it's convenient since we have 5 and only private car can take more than 4. His name is Francis, phone number: 013 500 2418. Staff atitude is friendly. Choose this if you go in big group and want a good price.

The hotel is still under renovation. Instead of going through the main entrance, we are required to go up to level 2 to register ourselves, via elevator that need to be accessed from the side. Do not expect a clean exterior as there are mattress, furniture, etc left on d corridor (think they are still arranging the place). Ample parking is provided. Room is clean but the one we check-in has no window, so its only suitable for those who are only there to sleep. Basically, one has to think that they are renting a hostel rather than a proper hotel. Some part of the place are actually rent out as hostel (probably to those who need to go to nearby hospital). Its decent.

There are hawker food store nearby with 7-11 for convenience between walking distance. Towels are provided but only 1 bar of soap for 4-people room. There are water heater and air-conditioning. Bed is comfortable.

The hotel is partially under renovation. So the reception counter is at the second floor. Private parking is possible on-site. The room was clean and comfortable. The wifi is available too. Although, this hotel is not located at the heart of the city, but it is accessible to some of the interest point such as Burmese temple, Wat Chaiyamangalaram.

Is it a hotel, a hostel, a residence?
On arrival I nearly got straight back in the taxi. The Lobby is being refurbished and so entry is via a very tatty side entrance with a scruffy lift. On the second floor the reception is behind a security gate. The problem is that the building is not self contained. Potentially a big security risk.
The rooms have clearly recently been refurbished & are ensuite. Apart from a slight hospital feel, they are comfortable. The tv has a couple of international channels & staff did try to be helpful. Once in the room it's ok but the rest of the building is pretty shocking.
