Great location, lovely property with a homely feeling (with a courtyard), good variety of breakfast topped with excellent customer service makes this property more than worth a stay. We stayed for 3 nights and all the key areas to visit in Georgetown are within 10 -15 mins walk with access to the main street 2 mins away. Room and bathroom are very clean, modern with the heritage touch. Highlight was the staff and their customer service with an attitude to help us in every possible way.

A very cozy and comfortable hotel in a nostalgic setting of yesteryears. I was impressed by the very friendly and helpful service. My friends and I, three of us shared a room. The room was clean and well arranged. I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 nights stay. It has a homely ambience of a reasonable boutique hotel. The location is convenient to walk to nearby cafes.

Room tip: The roads are narrow so be prepared ti take grab cars, taxis and walk to places

Pretty little gem in George Town. I enjoyed a lovely comfortable stay . The hotel is well located, accessible to sights and good food.

Not forgetting is also its friendly staff on site. Specifically, there is this young man with a big wide smile every time when I see him . He is always ready to help and give advise on food spots too. To the Nam Keng management who’s reading this : you need to keep this man and let him grow with you in this business !

Overall, this is the place I will check in again should I return to Penang !

It's our very 1st time in George Town, I booked this hotel online as it looks so nice on the pictures and the location. We had great time. The staff were super nice, the room has very thing we need. As it's hot in Penang, the aircon worked perfectly and there a small fridge in the room where we kept the cold drinks. It's great to have a cold drink when we came back hot and sweaty! The shower is nice and big with plenty hot water. All toiletries are all provided, even though we didn't use for the most part, it's nice to see that they're there as needed.
We'd like to come back to stay next time when we're in town.
Thank you!
Stella

Room tip: Our room is on the 2nd floor and has to walk up the staircases.

The Nam Keng hotel is a very welcoming little antique hotel with warm and attentive staffs. We would like to express special thank to the desk guy who was on duty on 18/7 evening and 20/7 morning, keep up with your good work.
Nevertheless, we were impressed by the architecture of the hotel and the room was sparkling clean. We had a really good rest after the long journey. We were lucky to have parking space available near to the hotel during our stay. We also really enjoyed the delicious breakfast, served with hearty traditional Nyonya kuihs.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and return one day.
